The new filter layer is a significant improvement over the previous version. My humidifier is turned on all of the time. during the months of winter For the HAC-II, I've been using Honeywell Filters for seven years. As long as you follow the instructions on the package to reverse the filter daily, these updated filters will last much longer and will not fall apart like the older ones did. When the filter starts to get a crust on the top, I recommend rinsing it in warm water and cleaning the Humidifier's base with a paper towel once a week to remove any residue. Overall, this is a significant upgrade over previous filters, and I strongly suggest it.
There are a lot of low-cost knockoffs out there! We bought a Honeywell humidifier last winter because my youngest suffers from dry air nosebleeds. We started by purchasing generic replacement filters because it runs a lot throughout the year (winter usually lasts 7 months or more). Those needed to be replaced much more frequently than the Honeywell ones, and some of them smelled like wet socks. This set was reasonably priced, especially considering it was a name brand and included two filters. They haven't developed a wet sock odor, and they've easily outlasted others.
I just installed it, so I can't comment on the value for money until I see how it holds up over time; however, I decided to go back to the original company-produced filter this time, which is more expensive; the blue stuff around the outside gives the impression that it's sturdier. I've been using the cheaper knockoffs for a while now, and they only last about a month before becoming crusty, brown, and out of shape. So, if these last a few months, the price difference will be worthwhile.
These were great in the past. The wick must have been changed in the updated version because they are no longer as long lasting. After a short period of time, the wick becomes clogged and no longer wicks the water up. These are unquestionably not worth the extra cost over knockoff brands. I'm not going to buy these unless they return to the original materials.
I was under the impression that I used to buy these in single packets. As a result, I purchased two of them. Each box, however, has two people in it. I'm set until next autumn now that I have four. br>br>The old ones were solid color, but these have an extra blue surface. They're identical in terms of fit and function. Using a humidifier in the winter is absolutely necessary. We become ill after a few days of using the heat without using a humidifier. The humidifier keeps our airways from drying out and allows us to breathe comfortably at night.
offs. For us, the humidifier's name brand has proven to be the best purchase. In our kids' rooms, we use humidifiers every night. Having said that, these were installed on December 11 and began smelling on January 1. It's been less than a month. We've been looking for ways to stretch our dollars and get the most bang for our buck when it comes to humidifier filters. 3 weeks? And that's what we do every morning when we take the filters out to dry so they don't get damp. Ugh.
I've discovered that you need to soak the filter before use to get the optimal amount of moisture in the air, and that you may need to repeat that process on a regular basis. I don't think these or any of the humidifier's filters last long enough, especially considering the price.
The product is nothing like the original; it's thin, and even if you follow all of the instructions, it only lasts two weeks. br>br>It's fragile, with a glued line on one side that can easily break, and the design doesn't make sense given that it has to be flipped over after each new refill.
