Yes, even if the tank is only used at night, it protects the water.
On the side of the container, there are no warnings. The back of the container contains all product information. In case you're wondering, the Golden Solution is fantastic.
It isn't scented, at least not to my knowledge. Do you change your humidifier's filter and clean it thoroughly? I've never been able to detect a scent.

Removes odors and deposits associated with hard water, such as lime deposits, from the water. br>br>I placed a six-pack of 64-ounce bottles in my cart. bottles on December 31st, 2017. They showed up in mid-January, along with a few other items. 2019 I quickly counted what had been received after opening the box. None of the bottles were opened because I still had some from the previous season. I had to use one today. I was disappointed to find out that two of the 64 oz. The bottles were only about a third full, and they were indeed sealed! What a heinous deception!.
When I purchased my evaporative cooler, I purchased this product as well. br>I used the recommended amount of this solution in the tank, and the odor has improved significantly. br>br>Cons: It contains some chemicals (see active ingredients in front of the bottle), despite being EPA approved (it claims that, but I haven't checked to see if that is true). That's why I gave it a 3. 5-star rating because it met my expectations. I would give a higher rating if the company could produce something with more environmentally friendly ingredients. br>br>I'm sure you could do without this and use something less "chemically" like baking soda. Instead, for the time being, I went with this solution.
We use a capful of this in each of the two because one of the reasons we have a humidifier is to keep moisture in the air during the winter months, which keeps our sinuses from drying out and making us more susceptible to infections, colds, and other illnesses. In our portable humidifier, we use 5 gallon water containers to ensure that the water is free of bacteria and smells pleasant. I used it for the entire previous year and it was both effective and inexpensive. It was well worth the money to ensure that the water was safe to drink!.
It really works. I changed the water every day and started with 1/4 cup in 5 gallons. I use a 1/8 cup booster and add 4 gallons twice a day. There was no crud, no odor, and no issues. br>br>Essick Air has also been used by me. It's more concentrated and less expensive, but it smells worse and comes with a corrosive warning. br>br>The BestAir 6 pack of 64oz reduces the cost per ounce to about the same as EssickAir. As a result, I now have enough supplies to last three years. BestAir would be better if it was more focused and offered a reasonable price without requiring so many orders. Even so, that's what I'll get next time.
The calcium buildup on the filter fabric is not slowed down by many humidifier chemicals. This is a fantastic example! On the down side, I ordered this a few weeks ago and have yet to receive it. The order was then canceled due to damage to the package. I rearranged it after that. The old damaged package was repackaged in a new large box, which I received. There was no padding or packaging material — just a large box that was stuffed into an even larger box. But the product is fantastic! br>br>.
After just a few days. What a difference it makes. Instead of rotating the filter every two hours or so, I only rotate it a few times a day, and the filters are never clogged with calcium deposits. I can't say whether it makes the air any cleaner, but I'm impressed with how little maintenance my humidifier now requires.
After about a month, the filters were completely shot (hard and crusty due to minerals). I've been using this product for about 5 weeks and my filters are still in excellent condition. This package of six large bottles is significantly less expensive than purchasing individual bottles, though it appears that the six bottles will last me at least two seasons.
In my humidifier, I've tried a number of different products, but none have performed as well as this one. It's difficult to find products that last in a humidifier when you live in the high desert. Water lasts longer in some ways, but there is more humidity in the house. Couldn't get to 40% with other products and this one easily gets to 45% and keeps it there. It doesn't have a strong odor, but it's there. It's effective, and the large bottle will last for a long time.
