Questions & Answers
The cap on the handle's very end is removed. There's a screw in there somewhere.
I'm not sure what I'm saying. It's the right size for my IL Primo 972.
Because glass is fragile, using it on the stovetop would be dangerous.
It's compatible with my expresso machine, which is a dual coffee/expresso machine. Check out the Krups website, which is extremely detailed.

It appeared to be the same as the Krups that I had broken. The first thing I noticed when I received it was that the handle was shorter, making it more difficult to hold on to it; however, because the handle diameter was larger, this part was fine. The problem was the handle's short length. br>br>The next thing I noticed was that the plastic cover cap from my previous one didn't lock into place on the replacement one; the replacement one was just slightly larger at the opening, so the plastic cover cap didn't secure. This was a problem because when I went to pour my espresso today, the cap fell off, spilling and or splashing hot espresso all over my hand and the table. br>br>If the manufacturer of this Krups is reading this, please send me a free cover cap that fits properly.
There isn't much to say; I dropped mine, it broke, and I was given this as a replacement. Unfortunately, it is no longer available in white. Oh well, it's strange to me. My Krupp cappuccino maker has served me well for over 25 years. There are no issues.
This item was bought to replace a carafe that I had broken. Obviously, they are easily broken, which is why I gave them a low durability rating and the need for replacement carafes is so obvious. Our espresso machine would have been useless without a carafe. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to replace him. I was fortunate enough to locate one on Amazon. The cost appeared to be fair. I'm glad we didn't have to throw out the old machine and go on a shopping spree for a replacement. Win win.
If you drop a glass carafe on a tile floor, as I did, it will break. I'm overjoyed that I was able to locate a suitable replacement. The Krups espresso machine is one of my favorites and I use it on a daily basis.
The lid from my original one fits a little looser on this one, but it's not a big deal.
The glass appears to be solid, but the handle is plastic (4 inches long) and lighter than the glass, making it unbalanced in my hand; the original carafe I'm replacing had a longer handle, but this will suffice.
I've had my Krups espresso maker for a long time, but the glass carafe was broken during my most recent move. I was so concerned that I wouldn't be able to replace her - It was, however, available on Amazon. It's the same as the one that was broken, so I'm back to brewing my weekend lattes!.
It was a perfect fit for our old machine, so I expect it to last as long as the old one.
