It was a perfect fit for my Gaggia Classic Pro, which I bought brand new in the year 2021.

While a rubber insert is less expensive (and I've had good results with it), it is always possible for it to slip or slide out of place. Maintaining high pressure while backflushing the head is required. This is an excellent choice! br>It isn't as powerful as my other filters, but it's a must-have for me. A good backflush necessitates this quality. Although I am not a metallurgist, it appears to be made of stainless steel.
I tried this because the rubber blind disk that came with my Expobar Office Lever didn't always do a good job of staying sealed to the bottom and couldn't always maintain pressure for a backflush. While the pressure issue is no longer an issue, the basket isn't quite deep enough to completely dissolve the teaspoon of Cafiza. I'm thinking about doing some planning ahead of time. I didn't have to dissolve it when I used the rubber disk.
Fits in the portafilter that came with my Gaggia Classic when I bought it. It accomplishes the task at hand. It gets two thumbs up!.
It's fantastic! My Gaggia was giving me a lot of trouble. It was restored to new condition thanks to the use of a proper decalcifying agent (Cafiza) and this device, which forces the machine to perform a backflush. I tried a hack (cutting a piece of rubber to fit inside a regular filter cup), but this is far superior! Please keep in mind that this device can only be used on machines that allow back flashing! Back flushing is only for Gaggias and other machines that have a three-way valve. (e. g. , a three-way solenoid) The Classic as well as a few Babys). Backflushing machines without a 3-way valve is not a good idea. valve with two ways Gaggias with a three-year expiration date A drain of some kind into the drip tray is provided by the way valve.
I have a Rancilio Silvia that came with a rubber back flushing blind stop. The rubber stop was getting old, so I ordered this metal backflush insert. To put it simply, it doesn't work as well as the rubber insert, and the metal insert produces nowhere near the same backflush. I'll be ordering a new rubber blind stop to replace the old one.
The backflushing of the Rancilio is a breeze with this insert! Except for the fact that it's a solid piece of metal instead of having holes, it's nearly identical to the stock portafilter in every way. br>br>There are a plethora of tutorial videos available online that explain how to use this, and they usually include inserts that look and behave similarly to this one.
This part worked perfectly to backflush my Rancilio Silvia from 1999. It's a perfect fit and appears to be of excellent quality. Originally, Rancilio advised against backflushing because some people would run their pumps too long and burn them out, then try to find a replacement for their "defective" pump. I'm wondering if my machine is out of warranty after replacing two pumps, two heating elements, adding a PID, and now rebuilding or replacing the overpressure valve. I used to believe that the Rancilio home machines were named after 1960s movie stars, i. e. Audrey/Kathy/Nancy/Silvia are the names of four women: Audrey, Kathy, Nancy, and Silvia. Is there anyone who knows?.
It works great; I've never used one of these in any of my espresso machines before, and I had no idea they existed. I can't believe how much garbage came out of my machine after only 6 months of use, and I used the Cleaner as well.
