It really works. It is a new version that does not have a pinhole in the middle. Breville is shipping their new machines, and it's what they're calling it. As a result, it's current. When you backflush, there should be no water coming out.

This fits my 51mm portafilter perfectly! It's nice and snug, but you can reach out and grab it. My cheap machine, however, would not back flush properly. This product is PERFECT for backflushing if your machine has an excess water discharge system.
