Product Description

By entering your model number, you can make sure that this fits.
In standalone coffee grinders (not for super automatic espresso machines), it removes coffee residue and oils.
Coffee grounds are absorbed and loosen with this patented, all-natural, food-safe, and gluten-free tablet.
Grinders are effectively cleaned without the need to disassemble burrs or casings.
Use on a regular basis to ensure proper sanitation and consistent grinder performance.
When switching between regular, decaffeinated, and flavored coffee beans, this is a great way to keep the flavor from transferring.

Questions & Answers

Grindz vs. Full Circle: What's the Difference? Urnex is the company that makes both of them. ?

The Full Circle method is used to clean the coffee maker, not the grinder. This means that the tablets dissolve and wash away all of the coffee residue. Grindz are abrasive, absorbent tablets that can be used to clean your grinder.

What is the average number of cleanings per bottle?

The 430g bottle could last 21 cleanings if used at the recommended 20g per cleaning. The length of a clean cycle is determined by the frequency with which it occurs. It lasts nearly two years if you go once a month.

Is this truly superior to simply grinding rice in a rice mill?

Keep in mind that if rice is discovered in your grinder, the manufacturer's warranty will be voided. Maybe not a big deal for a $50 grinder, but when you're paying $500 (or more), it's worth considering. I'm all for cheap hacks, but it's not always worth it. Rice cannot be ground in a coffee grinder.

As if by magic, it removes coffee residues
5/5

I was skeptical at first because I couldn't see how this could possibly clean up my grinder. Putting my skepticism aside, I used my encore grinder to grind 40g of these yellow cleaning beans to a super fine powder. And then, as if by magic, all of the hardened coffee residues vanished. Normally, I'd have to use my toothpick to remove the hardened coffee that would occasionally jam my grinder. br>br>As you can see in the image, all residues have vanished. I don't have a copy of the previous version. picture, but it was stuffed with coffee residues that I couldn't get out with a toothpick due to how hardened and pressed they were. So far, what I've learned is that it dissipates any type of coffee, regardless of how barely pressed it is on the grinder. It works in the same way that vinegar works on rust; I'm not sure how else to describe it. It simply eliminates coffee residue.

It does exactly what it claims to do
4/5

We like dark roast coffee, which is oily and clogs the filters with fine silty coffee grounds over time; I usually brush out the burrs and blow out the dust as much as I can, but you can't reach everything. This was incredible after I put it through my grinder. The burrs were almost gleaming. I was quite taken aback. br>br>My only gripe is that I have to waste coffee cleaning the cleaner out of the burrs. Although it is a small price to pay, it is still inconvenient. If you drink a lot of dark roast coffee, I strongly advise you to purchase this product. You probably don't need it if you prefer lighter roasts.

Meh

With repeated use, expectations were dashed. I put off buying this product for our in-home espresso machine for a long time because we enjoy trying beans from different roasters and this product convinced us that we weren't getting the most out of the beans we were buying (which is an expensive 'treat' if I do say so myself). I figured that using these in between roasts would help us not only distinguish and actually taste what we were paying for, but also appreciate different grinds over time. I'm an average consumer who can appreciate different types of beans, but this product didn't do much more than give us peace of mind that our grinder was a little cleaner. Prior to using this, there was no discernible difference in taste or texture between our beans. Note: We had been using the Breville Barista Express Espresso Machine for two years prior to starting this product, which we bought about six months ago and use every time we change our beans (roughly every two weeks). 3 weeks). I liked the concept of this product, but the price was too high for me to justify purchasing it again.

It tastes better when the coffee is clean
5/5

Cleaning my coffee grinder took a long time because I had to brush everything out and make sure I got all of the debris into the trash can. As a result, I didn't do it nearly as frequently as I should have, and I knew there had to be a better way. I should have asked my two children, who both worked at Starbucks, to assist me in paying for college. I bought some after hearing about it from them. br>br>The "cleaning tablets" are actually small yellow pellets that resemble coffee beans in appearance. I put some through my coffee grinder as directed, then followed up with a handful of beans to ensure the pellets were completely removed. My coffee grinder is sparkling clean! br>br>Wow, my coffee grinder is sparkling clean! And the coffee no longer has a sour flavor. Win win!.

For medium roasts, this isn't necessary
4/5

I bought it because of all the positive feedback about how clean it left grinders. br>If you clean your grinder and burrs weekly or every other week like I do, this isn't necessary; save your money. br>With my grinder, I can easily disassemble the burr grinder and clean it with a dry toothbrush in a matter of minutes. It takes me less than 5 minutes to complete this task. I figured that by using this cleaner, I'd get the same results with less effort, and I was right. br>However, you must complete the process, which includes cleaning the ground coffee bin and hopper. Even if you buy cheapo beans, the process took me longer than 5 minutes, and my toothbrush was free and worked just as well in the same amount of time. This product is probably more useful for people who grind dark and oily beans, but I normally grind medium roast beans that do not build up in my grinder.

It accomplishes the task at hand
4/5

I've been using Urnex products for a long time and have always had good results. These cleaning tablets are more effective than "rice" and leave no unpleasant aftertaste. After cleaning, a few sacrificial beans remove all traces of the cleaning tablets, and I know that even if a few spots of the tablets remain, they won't poison me or ruin my coffee. I can't say I've ever been concerned about "gluten-free" cleaning tablets, but whatever. The only drawback is the relatively high price, for which I deduct a star. I don't cut corners when it comes to the quality of my coffee, grinder, or coffee maker, so I guess I shouldn't cut corners when it comes to cleaning.

Superautomatics are not recommended
3/5

Corn that has been pressed In the end, these are corn pellets that have been pressed. I have a Phillips super automatic espresso machine with a grinder. I purchased this for maintenance after receiving a recommendation. It's something I regret. I've been left with a constant residue of corn popping out of the mechanism, getting stuck in the cartridge, and gunking the silicone lubricant after following the instructions and running the "post cleaning" brews. If I don't keep an eye on the cartridge all the time, the corn goo will sit and mold. It offends me greatly. Simply put, you should not. br>br>Polenta is a good alternative.

Simple but effective! Hey, this stuff works! Cleaning out the grinder was not a fun job for me when I worked as a barista
5/5

We used a spray that appeared to be risky. These absorb oil, which can then be removed with a damp cloth. Before all of the grindz are processed, you'll have to sacrifice some beans. I started with some stale beans and ran them through until I saw no more white bits. It was roughly the equivalent of two double espresso shots, in my opinion.
