Hello JF,br>That is the same machine in which I use these. I've used them to cycle my machine's cleaning cycle several times now, and they appear to work fine. br>It's impossible not to like the Barista Express!
There are no issues; you simply require two tablets rather than the single larger tablet that Bosch previously offered.
The task can be completed with just one tablet. I'll occasionally repeat the clean cycle to see how well the first one worked. If the second cycle is negative, you know that one tablet was sufficient.
We use them in a Saeco Exprelia full automatic machine, and they work just like the Saeco branded tablets that came with it, so I'm sure they'd work in any machine that can use a cleaner in tablet form. Cafiza powder is made by Urnex and is also available on Amazon if you prefer a powdered form to tablets.
Selected User Reviews For Urnex Cafiza Espresso Machine Cleaning Tablets - 100 Count - Professional Espresso Machine Cleaner Barista Use
This is an excellent product for the price, and Urnex is a great company that I trust over other less expensive brands. These are what I use for my Breville BES 870XL counter top. Anyone who gives these tablets a bad review either doesn't know what they're talking about or has a machine that doesn't need them. This is for back flushing only, not for de-scaling! If you need to descale, use citric acid and do some research on how to do it.
I've used these before and they're great. They're also less expensive than buying them in the store. br>It asked me to rate the flavor, so I did. br>My teeth are much whiter now, coffee stains have faded, and people notice my smile. br>My farts are less offensive to my wife in bed, but the bubbles that follow from my bottom stain my underwear. br>In general, I would recommend this product for cleaning your coffee maker as well as your teeth.
These tablets did an excellent job of cleaning my espresso machine, even after I had used a decalcifying fluid. After the decalcifier ran through the machine, I assumed it would be free of guck and deposits, but this was not the case. Even more flecks of something brown appeared in the water after allowing the tablets to dissolve in the water and running it through several espresso cycles. I'm not sure if it was the coffee or the mineral deposits that caused the problem. Whatever it was, I'm glad I got it out of my machine, and I now use these tablets every other week or so to keep it clean. They're excellent at what they're doing.
I used it on a metal Yeti cup that I used every day for tea and didn't wash. LOL, this cup had been stained for 6 years. Anyway, I soaked a tab in hot water for an hour and then scrubbed the rest of it. The majority of the staining was removed by rinsing; however, a few spots required scrubbing, which was minimal. It gives old cups a new lease on life.
I bought these for my Breville BES870XL because the branded tablets were so expensive, and they clean just as well as the originals, leaving no residue and always dissolving quickly.
I couldn't bring myself to spend the money on the expensive original little cleaning pills for my Breville machine, but these work just as well. (Before I bought them, I emailed Breville to make sure they were a good alternative. ).
There is no ratio of dilution. My machine broke down the first time I tried to use it- absolutely! It doesn't get much worse than that!.
You: have an espresso machine that you adore - You need to keep your eyes open if you want it to keep humming and pouring out the elixir.
