it as a gift, but I can't remember who gave it to me
It is true that the cap unscrews, but do not waste your money on it. You won't be giving it away in 2 weeks if you pay a little more
A silicon particle appears to have been used My knowledge of this is limited. There is a good seal on it. My purpose is to make an entire pot of coffee, which I then store in the container for two or three There is not enough warmth to keep the coffee warm, so I have to reheat As soon as I pour the coffee from the carafe, I warm it in my coffee cup. I find it a big bonus to have the fresh taste of my coffee last a couple of days.

It will be my first time using it today so I am unsure of how well it will maintain It's not totally smooth on the edge of the pour spout, but it's not bumpy enough to send it back. Another one I had was almost identical, but this one has an indentation in the middle of the pour spout, making it easier to get a pour of liquid into your cup or glass. The lid is especially a problem for me since the other carafe was completely rounded and the pour area was too large. Overall I am not satisfied with this carafe. Previously, I had one that flipped all the way back, so I could easily pour my coffee pot into it. There is only one lid on this one, and it stands straight up, causing the space to be limited. Stainless steel is shiny and brushed and I love the way it looks. A brief update Since I have been using it for weeks now, the lid is an irritant and a A cheap, cheaply made pitcher that won't stand all the way back, will only stand straight up, and will keep falling over while you try to pour liquid into The lid cannot go all the way back, so there is only a limited amount of space for something to be poured into it. There is no way this lid will stand the test of time. In the end, the slight crease in the pouring spout does not make a difference. Since there is not enough space for the liquid to flow, the liquid will just sort of pour wherever it wants. I like the look of it, but it is the only advantage. The one I got was not what I had hoped for.
Although it looks pretty, it doesn't provide much It kept coffee hot for a very short time, which was very disappointing. and then added 2) a cup of In two hours, the temperature rose to a warm temperature.
We use it to hold our water and it takes nearly two days for it to get cold, so we put ice inside. The cap broke off (loose) after a couple of days and the container doesn't get cold fast unless you add cold items. Item that is hot does not have a problem being held by it.
Upon opening the lid, I was surprised to see it was plastic. It keeps beverages warm throughout the day due to the sturdy plastic body. The lid might last a while but I'm not sure The price was high, but the product was good.
After filling with hot water, the coffee was still warm and palatable after 5 hours. My needs are met by this, so it seems it will be useful to me.
This thermos looks nice on the counter and is of good quality. The cons are Due to the heat, the lid may pop open, which lets out steam and stops the liquid from staying as warm as it should. If you're serving tea to guests, be aware of this and keep an eye on it. You can be caught off guard by the sound of the pop open!.
In particular, I like the stainless steel over glasses since I seem to break them quite often.
More than an hour is not long enough for the coffee to stay hot. Unless you only intend to use that product for serving beverages, I would not recommend that product.
