Steel garage with dimensions of 30 x 30 x 12 and insulation of 2. Spray Foam with Closed Cells, 5" There are no windows in this room and only a 12 foot ceiling. The roll-up door is quite tall. I opened the refrigerant lines after evacing the evaporator and vacuuming it, then turned on the unit, and the cooling began immediately. After a few minutes of tinkering with the remote, I set the unit to super cool mode and went inside for a bite to eat. When it was 2095 outside with 53% humidity! After 45 min that unit made my shop FROSTY cool! Since then, I've had no problems setting it to 73 degrees, and the shop stays cool even when the ceiling fans aren't turned on! DIYers will appreciate the great value.

The lack of an actual template for drilling the through wall hole for the lineset appears to be the only flaw in the installation! br>I strongly advise that the person vacuuming the linesets has a thorough understanding of the process! The procedure is not difficult, but it is crucial! br>If you don't have the necessary HVAC skills or tools, it might be a good idea to hire someone to finish the job for you. br>Since installation, the unit has been running without a hitch!.

I haven't checked the HEATPUMP because the temperature is still hovering around 100 degrees every day. The item was delivered on time and in good condition. It was properly packaged and on a pallet, with no damage or missing parts. br>Installed in my 40 ft 5th Wheel with four slides, both roof airs couldn't keep up with the summer heat and were noisy, so I had to use a window unit to keep cool. br> The installation went off without a hitch. It should be easy to install for anyone who has electrical or mechanical experience. I'm 76 years old, and I finished the job in about a day and a half. There was a lot of room for improvement when it came to directions. The use of YouTube videos was beneficial. To evacuate the lines, I borrowed a vacuum pump from O'Riley Auto Parts, which is required for the unit to be leak-free. br>The unit keeps the trailer cool, and the front bed room is even cool enough for a good night's sleep. It's very quiet, and despite the fact that it's 104 degrees outside, I have the thermostat set to 80 degrees and it's perfectly comfortable. I haven't received my electric bill yet, but I've been keeping an eye on the meter and have used at least 1/3 less electricity this month than last month. br>It was one of the best decisions I've ever made. It was something I should've done last summer. br>It's something I'd recommend!.

When it's in the mid-90s outside, I bought this Mini Split for my garage, which also serves as my work-from-home office, and it keeps my garage at a cool 73 degrees. I'm amazed at how quiet it is. Using a conference phone as a speakerphone is not an issue. The installation was not difficult for a handyman, but having two people on the job makes it go faster. Because the wiring harness for the power that came with this unit was 14 Ga, I ran 10 Ga wire for this system (just because). However, 14 Ga wire would have been fine. 1/2" flex copper is included in the kit for connecting the inside and outside units. After kinking the 1/2" flex copper a few times, I decided to use rigid L Copper for the majority of the run to achieve a cleaner installation. Because the inside and outside units both used flare fittings, I had to go back to flex copper. The 1/4" flex copper worked perfectly for me. If you care about your runs being clean, you should invest in a flaring tool. Plan on enlisting the assistance of a friend who is familiar with the system's vacuum system. It will save you money and time from purchasing a one-time tool and watching multiple YouTube videos (which is not difficult to do, but a beer with a friend is much cheaper and more enjoyable). Because it's still in the 80s, I haven't tried the heat option. However, in the fall or on a cool summer day, I'll give it a try. This unit cost about half as much as a comparable locally specified system (at contractor rates). I've only had the system up and running for three weeks, so I can't speak to its long-term viability, but I am currently a very satisfied customer.
