Questions & Answers

Are the material and padding of this bag strong enough so that it can be checked with baggage on a plane without damaging your ?

There is no padding on the boot section, but we checked our three bags with our ski boots and there was no damage from New York It can fit our helmets, googles, ski pants, gloves, and any extra gear we need. The bags have strong zippers and plenty of pockets for phones, chargers, water and warmers, etc. There is even a side vent for your boots to dry if necessary. There is a built-in place for an identification card for easy spotting and the piping colors on the dark bags are easy to spot. The bags will not fit in carry on storage on the plane and certainly not under the seats since boots do not give much. Using these bags as a back pack is comfortable since the shoulder and waist padding is included.

Can you tell me how much this item weighs?

There are approximately 4 pounds in this package. All of my son's ski gear and his junior ski boots fit in it and it weighs 11 pounds. It might be of some help to you. The bag is cool

Can you tell me what the heat settings on this bag are? Using a different model, I have the option of using the hot, warm, and dry options. Do you have those options in this bag?

There is no heat setting on my bag.

The bag appears to be fairly large but I just want to make sure. Will it hold two pairs ?

Perhaps, but it is not the purpose for which the bag is designed. It would depend on how wide the boots were. In addition to carrying one's ski gear, boots, helmet, gloves, jacket and so on, the bag also keeps one's belongings safe. In the event that you are only going to carry two pairs of boots, some other bag would probably be better suited.

Best in the class if you can handle the price
5/5

This is a well made and designed product. It is even difficult to describe how well designed the bag is. Someone has finally thought of how to use a boot bag in a thoughtful way. Initially, I had a bag made by Dakine with deployable boot straps, at least that is what they were called. I hate it. The bag is designed and constructed to perfection by Kulkea. It is the best out there. If you need to set it down in a parking lot, the heavy duty vinyl bottom can be cleaned clean of dirt and mud. I like how the individual boot pockets provide plenty of room and are easy to load and unload. It is so not the case with straps based boot carriers. A helmet and a pair of goggles fit inside my rear pouch comfortably, with room for socks, underwear, and a T-shirt as well You should also get a shirt. In fact, there is a deployment utility If you need the interior room for something else, you can mount a helmet carrier there. 1) The large center pouch, accessed from the top, has enough room for ski pants, jacket, gloves, a pair of jeans, perhaps a beverage as well. Although it will be tight, you can totally do it. A zippered storage area on the hypotenuse side of each boot pouch is plenty large to accommodate lunch or other goodies that aren't disposed of in the main compartment of the pouch. In addition to the carrying handle, the shoulder straps and padded waist strap are both comfortable and durable, with the introduction of a short wide (read tangle-resistant) webbing to a sturdy plastic clip on the top like you would see on a high-end While the Kulkea Boot Trekker is more expensive than other options, if you can afford it, I believe it's worth the price over the cheaper ones. As well as the Swix bag of similar design, I looked at Keds. I preferred the Swix bag because it was bigger (too big for me), but it also had thoughtful design details. While the Kulkea will fit into a standard school locker, you might have to squeeze it in a bit. The locker door is stiff when brand new and required a shove and push to keep it closed due to the wipe-able waterproof bottom. It was nice to receive a thoughtful gift from Kulkea.

Great bag, but I wasn't able to put it on
3/5

I love the design of this bag except for the top compartment opening being too small to fit a helmet in, even though there is plenty of room otherwise. I know that you carry your helmet attached to the outside of the bag, but how can I transport it when I'm traveling by air? Why do you think the airlines will lose your helmet if you leave it outside of the pack? During the off-season, are you going to let your helmet collect dust? There was nothing I did not like about this bag, but the inability to store a helmet inside was a deal breaker for me. It was a tough choice for me to send it back, as I wanted to keep it.

There Is a Place for Everything, and Everything Is In Its Place The design and manufacture of the product is exceptional
5/5

This is a very well-designed website. To me, having everything in its place and having it in its place is very important. The bag does exactly what it is supposed to do! The number of compartments threw me off at first. Those days are over. Only twice have I used it, but I am in love with A pair of socks and warms go in one pocket, gloves in another, a trail map and product in another, clothes in the large compartment accessed from the top, and a helmet and face shield go in the Each ski boot is kept in its own pocket and is protected from the (wet) pockets. When done changing in the lodge, put clothes and boots in the bag where they belong, and then change back at the end of the When you walk from the car to the lodge and back again, strap everything on your back, including the skis. In this bag, I have everything I need for the entire year. I could have used extra socks and a first layer. Minor concerns It was a little hard to get the helmet into the compartment on the left. There is a strap that lets you attach the helmet to the It was a bit awkward to get cloths into and out of that, but if you were to store a lot of stuff, it would be great. Also, the top opening was rather small and difficult I did not purchase this bag for a cheap price. In comparison to this brand, I purchased two other brands for close to 1/3 of the cost and they were nice, but far from My inspection indicates that it is very well built, and from its design it is very sturdy. There will be a test of time to see if it holds up, however I am assured.

It is difficult for me to think of anything negative to say
5/5

It surprised me how well engineered this thing is. Although it's not cheap, I expected a certain level of refinement, but it's incredible how well thought out this bag/backpack is This is a well-designed and well-constructed website. In addition to being sturdy, customizable, attractive, and spacious, it is also The fact that I am a full grown father with skiers in my family means I often have to carry the "extras" (snacks, water, ski straps, etc. ) and I have not yet overloaded. No need to worry about This is what it looks like after it's The word "heavy" comes from the Greek language There is no problem with it. Loads of a lot of weight are easy to manage. There is no need to make any changes.

As far as material and construction are concerned, this bag far exceeds the one I A boot bag by another manufacturer was the bag I recently purchased prior to ordering the Trekker
4/5

It didn't take long after that for the stitching in the bag to come apart in two places and the liner that separates the boots from the rest of the bag to rip My inquiry led me to order one after watching a video of the Trekker and reading the reviews. Within the main compartment of the bag, there is space to store my ski pants, coat, vest, and extra clothes. As well as my helmet, the smaller one fits in the larger Including a helmet, it will also fit my daughter's stuff (she is 5yo) but her boots are not included. As far as material and construction are concerned, this bag far exceeds the one I In the past six months, I'd only used that bag six I have only used the Trekker for a couple of days at the end of the season, but I have a few minor things to take care of. In the compartments on the front and the main side, I would like to see double zippers. A larger opening might be required for the main compartment, as well as the main compartment itself. Another nice feature would be a bungy cord on the outside of the pouch to hold wet clothing, like ski pants in the spring. Generally, a very good bag with a lot of features, and I.

My son received a gift from me
5/5

It was a gift for the six-year-old in my family This past ski season was the birthday of an 11-year old. In a nutshell, he loves it, primarily because he now has his own luggage, though when it is packed with all of his ski equipment, it is too heavy for him to carry. In addition, all of his ski equipment fits in the backpack with the exception of the skis and poles. He can also fit what he needs for three to four days in the bag, including his regular apparel, pajamas, and toiletries. We do not have to buy anything new for packing for a skiing weekend, since all his ski gear is always in there, and we only need to get him Buying one for my husband last year for his birthday was also a nice gesture. It is also liked by him. Packing up the car for the long trek up to the mountain has become less of a hassle. I need to get one for myself now.
