Questions & Answers
It makes no difference what size shoes you wear; It is the size of the lower leg that must be accommodated.
They would almost certainly do so. Coral snakes have extremely small fangs and do not strike with their mouths open wide.

A small should fit a calf length of 15 inches, according to the size chart. 14" is the height of my calf. I couldn't even close the velcro on these because they were so small. They appear to be the size of a child's gaiter.
Depending on how heavy or light your pants are, size will feel tighter or looser. The girth of the upper shin area feels much tighter when wearing jeans. A VALUE THAT EXACTLY EXACTS WHAT IT SEEMS TO BE.
I purchased the first pair three years ago and have put them to the test. That first pair has seen miles of backcountry hiking as well as day-to-day homesteading work, and they're still going strong. These are both inexpensive and durable.
I wasn't sure if I'd need gaiters for my Alaska backpacking trip, so I didn't want to waste money on something I might not use. I came across these and they were ideal; I had to use them a few times and they performed admirably. They appear to be adequate for the task at hand, but I did not use them frequently. I can't speak to their durability, but they were there when I needed them, and that's all that mattered (and I didn't have to break the bank to get them).
These were extremely successful. I wore them for 12 hours without taking them off or moving them. Despite the fact that some of the red brush is the heaviest.
I'm an 8-inch tall woman. I'm a 5W or 9 (men in the United States) with 17-inch circumference calves, and the mediums fit me perfectly; I'd prefer a zipper or laces over velcro, but overall, they're worth the money.
I'm 6' tall, and these were at least an inch too short for me; I could have gone down a size in circumference, but I wanted the length (size is accurate). BUT, since they stayed up and didn't fall down, were they truly too short? In less than an hour, I hiked a 1500-foot elevation drop. Everything held up for 5 miles through rock, snow, leaves, mud, and mud. I was concerned about the heel loop, but it's fine; I bought them primarily to protect myself from poison oak and scrub, as well as the fact that I never hike in boots. They came out looking great after being washed. When REI has in-store pickup, it's well worth the money. For $80 (thanks to Amazon! ), you can get a pair of stock gaiters.
I prefer hers to mine because they appear to be of higher quality, despite the fact that they were significantly less expensive; there are cutouts for a better fit around your boot, and the top closure is bungee with a lock, which is much easier to use than straps and buckles. I'm thinking about getting a second pair.
