Size Large is a very large size

The Large might work for you if you have really thick lower legs, but it was way too big for my beanpole legs. (By the way, I'm a guy who stands 6' tall and wears size 10 boots. ) I returned the item and was given a credit, but I was responsible for the freight both ways.

I just wore these hiking for three days in very thick cheat-cloth and they were great

grass. There was some grass that got caught in the Velcro. However, they did a good job of keeping everything out of my socks and boots.
