I'm afraid I'm unable to assist you. We bought two of them to put on top of a custom van as a decoration. In Michigan, there is no good surfing. But I'm confident you'll be able to handle the board with ease.
This is the surfboard that we use in Lake Michigan. We've never waxed it, but it's a favorite of our grandchildren, who are excellent surfers.
That kind of abuse isn't supposed to happen. It's a small, lightweight board designed for young surfers.
No, the board is of poor quality; it could be a paddle board for children because it is only 6 feet long, whereas paddle boards are typically 9 feet long.

Because I'm comparing it to the Windstar from Costco, which is available for $100 in store, I'm giving it a low rating. This was a gift for my 6-year-old son. old and looking for a boat that was a little smaller than the 8' windstar This board is $30 cheaper, but the quality is significantly lower. I had small pieces of foam falling out all over the place as I was putting the fins in. The quality of the surface is significantly lower. In comparison to the windstar, even the leash is a piece of junk. If you're an adult who wants to surf, the windstar is the way to go. With moderate use, this could last a season. If you want to use it as a pool toy, decoration, or something else, that's fine. After 6 years, I may revise my review. old actually tries to make use of it. br>br>Also, use marine sealant on the fins and screws before installing them in this or any foam board. It will keep water out of the board and prevent dripping for several days.
Yes, the blue fades quickly, and yes, the fin screws (as with all surfboards) will loosen over time; this is why most surfboards come with a keychain screwdriver. I'm 200 pounds, and the board performed admirably. It didn't break, and it rode comfortably on my roof rack. Now, the surfer's size matters; while this board is easy to paddle, it will be difficult to balance at 200 pounds; however, for someone weighing 150 pounds or less, this is the right size; for those weighing 180 pounds or more, get a 96" board, such as the California Longboard SB 96.
This surfboard does not impress me; the price is exorbitant for the quality of the material used. It's almost as if it's made of the same material as a boogie board. It's not the kind of "foam" I expected to get for 70 bucks. It blew up after the first use by my daughter! What do you mean? I bought my kids a boogie board from 5 Below for $5 four years ago, and it's still going strong!.
As a result, if the board had been used, it would have taken off. These two screw in the fins, but they barely hold it in place. One of these screws had also become stripped. It's also a shame because my ten-year-old son was looking forward to seeing you. This would have been perfect for my 6-year-old granddaughter, who is learning to surf. It's incredibly lightweight! It's now my responsibility to return it to you!.
The paint on this board will eat away at the paint and smear and smudge like crazy, transferring the paint to your skin and swimsuit if you use sunscreen while riding it. It's a great board for beginners, but remember to wear a rash guard!.
When I first took this board out, the cheap cord kept tangling around my ankle; when I finally caught a wave, I went to stand up and the board went under, losing all momentum; keep in mind that this board is rated for 200 pounds, but I only weigh 140 pounds. Overall, I was underwhelmed; this would be a good board for a learning child, but if you're an adult considering purchasing one, save your money and rent one instead.
It's ideal for classroom use. When the students have had their fill, the teacher can use it in a fun way. floats nicely. br>br> It is simple to catch waves. It also manages to be surprisingly maneuverable. It's also light enough for my 8-year-old to carry hundreds of yards from the water to the car.
Although perhaps a little, it is prudent for a beginner. Given as a gift to a child who is taking beginner surfing lessons. According to the instructor, it was a good board safety-related exercise. If you're a beginner, this is a good choice, though it may be a little light at first to learn control. However, the instructor thought it was a good purchase, which in my opinion is a pretty good recommendation!.
