Yes, my boyfriend is 6'2" and weighs 225 pounds. and has had no issues with this bodyboard. Also, check Costco first; it may be less expensive.
It's 180, I believe.
There isn't any hard plastic on the bottom. The board is made of the same material throughout, but the bottom is coated to reduce drag in the water. It's difficult to restore the coating once it's been scratched or defaced (unlike wax on a surfboard).
I kick the end of the rope with my legs dangling from it. Yes, you could use it as a kickboard, though the design isn't the same.

I don't usually write reviews, but I felt this one was in order. First and foremost, let me state that I bought these for my boyfriend and his son, and they were pleased with the quality of the boards despite the fact that they had not used them yet (they had only received them yesterday). The colors are slightly different and much nicer than on the two boards shown. Now, here's the problem (and why I only gave 3 stars): when I received them, I noticed a Costco packing slip attached to the box; I went to Costco's website to look for these boards, and they were there - Savings of $20. So it appears that the Amazon seller made a $20 profit by purchasing and shipping these from Costco. That's great for them, and I'll be more careful next time!.
We'd go to the beach and spend $20 on styrofoam bodyboards, only to have them break in half on the way home. As a result, I came across these and am pleased with them. We took them to the beach and found that everyone, including adults, could benefit from them. They appear to be very strong and durable, with one side being slick and the other having a slight grip.
On a family vacation, we used these boards. In some fairly rough waves with fully grown adults on them, it performed flawlessly. Just make sure you read everything because we didn't get the design we wanted. Our seller, on the other hand, was a pleasure to work with and promptly rectified the situation.
These are the boards that I purchased for my children. They're far superior to the $20 ones that split in the middle. They appear to work well and provide a pleasant ride.
For some very nice boards, this is a great price. My wife and I have been using them every weekend for about a month, and they are still in excellent condition! I really liked this product; it's a step up from the average body board!.

I can't wait to hit the waves on a beach day with these boards. The colors are fantastic, and the foam "honeycomb" pattern on the top of the board grips the chest extremely well, so carving up some waves should be a lot of fun. I'm glad I went with these for my family and myself. It's nice to have more than one board when you have four children.
