Is the wrist leash a real long leash or just a board wrist loop?

Although it is a long leash, it is not long enough to reach an ankle.

Is the bottom made of hdpe slick or is it just the same foam as the top?

The bottom is slick. Ours is one of our favorites.

Is there a difference in appearance between the two?

Yes, the color schemes are different. It's great for the two granddaughters to know which one belongs to them.

Is this a boogie board with a hard bottom?

Yes, the bottom is extremely hard. Everything is made of the same stuff. It is extremely durable, and my children adore it.

The only issue I see is that the leash attachments are only large enough for a wrist and will not fit on an ankle, even on a 10-year-old.

The color scheme is incorrect

The boards I received were not the same as the ones shown in the picture. I got two blue and red boards, but I really wanted the ones that looked more girly. We already had two blue and two red boards on hand. The boards are still of good quality, but the color is a little off.
