I'll be honest with you, I've only had this card for about an hour, but just because I haven't used it for very long should emphasize how disappointed I am by it initially. At first glance, it's too short for a kayak of this size. Rubbing the wheels against the hull sides is a pain, as is getting the kick stand to work. going to give it a chance this weekend, and if it fails, I'm returning it. If it succeeds, I'll write a new.
The tires rub, making it difficult to push or pull. I have never seen such a bad product! Wonky and messed up badly! Using money for something else is a waste. My plan is to get new tires today so that I can test that out.
I purchased it for my 13' Old Town kayak, which weighs about 100 pounds, over a year ago. After looking back, it appears that the company has made a few upgrades to their carrier since last year (to their benefit) . The only time I ever used my Malone carrier was only a few days ago. As I was first looking at it, I saw that it only came with one set of straps and that there was no point for hooking up the straps to I've finally figured out how to hook the strap to the carrier and then around the kayak at the same time, and I think it works It only took one set of straps to accomplish that. As for pulling the kayak and carrier, I found them to be very smooth and the carrier itself was pretty good to look at. In the upgraded version of Malone that comes with 2 sets of straps, you can actually hook the straps onto the carrier, so that you can totally customize the product.
