Kayaks cannot be loaded quite as easily with this product due to its ease of folding towards itself. It should have been possible to lock the door. There was something about that I found disappointing. In spite of this, it rolls smoothly on both soft and hard surfaces once loaded. The folding awning is easy for me to store in the back of my Jeep until I am ready to use Assembling and disassembling it is also very straightforward. I'd buy it again, but I would not recommend buying it. If I were you I would try a different brand. Pay for what you get, I suppose.
