During the Labor Day weekend, we were finally able to put it to use. I walked it on a well-paved road for about a quarter mile before moving onto the sand. We heard a lot of squeaking. Although it was holding the kayaks, it was not holding them well. There are (2) kayaks instead of one, perhaps. However, the roll was smooth. That is the only thing. Unfortunately, this one is too easy to break apart to serve as a lock. Moreover the top is "plastic" and not metal with metal wheels and other non-removable parts as the others are. The system worked well for us and we are happy with it. Our goal is to find out how long it will last in regards to It does concern us that there is a squeaking sound.
