Questions & Answers

Is this something you'd suggest for open water swimming? Is it really only 2 kilometers?

Thank you for your question,br>br>Hello,br>br>Thank you for your question. Most fins will make an open water swim easier; your choice will be determined by your preferred swimming style as well as your physical capabilities. DaFins with rounded edges are better for swimming longer distances (in laps or open water) than those with square edges, which are better for short bursts. For a women's US 10 size, what size do I need?

large. If you're wearing fin booties, this is especially true. I am a size 9 woman who wears a size large bootie with fin straps. I would recommend a medium if you do not plan on wearing booties or straps. Fin straps, which cushion the ankle strap and shorten the fin a little while keeping it on so it doesn't come off in a wave, are a must. (If you're a bodysurfer or boogieboarder.) I'd go with a large if I were you. Fin booties are ten dollars and keep feet warm while making the fins more comfortable. I'm currently residing in the Hawaiian Islands.

What size fin do you need for a kid or a man in a size 5 shoe?

They're great for bodysurfing, if you're into that sort of thing
5/5

The fins are fantastic for bodysurfing because they make things so much easier. Their power isn't as great as that of duckfeet and vipers, but their more rigid, shorter fins make swimming out to larger waves much easier. With them, I can take advantage of the waves and travel further offshore without becoming exhausted by the time I arrive at my destination. Please consult the DaFin website for a detailed sizing chart (Amazon won't let me provide a link, so just search for The size 9E (wide) in shoes is a good fit for me. According to the sizing information on Amazon's product page, I ordered size ML. They felt reasonable on land, but in the water, they were unwieldy. After swimming, I would cramp up because the socks were too loose, and my calf and ankle would ache for a day or two. I ordered a size small and received a size 17. Despite having wide feet and being a size 8, the mediums fit perfectly. Here's a picture of DaFin's size chart. Take accurate measurements of your feet and consider how they might change if you plan to wear fin socks in colder climates.

It's fantastic to have such fins! After five years of wearing DaFins Kicks, I can confidently say that I am a fan
5/5

My friend in Hawaii has some amazing swimfins and kicks. This swimfin is ideal for me because I'll be spending the summer in Hawaii and needed a pair of fins that would be suitable for the tropical climate. I tried them out in the pool for almost two hours last night, and in the sea for 40 minutes the day before. You'll feel exactly like yourself in Kicks, but with a little more "oomph. " Because of their light weight, the DaFins are also ideal for travel. They fit perfectly in the front pocket of my carry-on bag. I stow my suitcase in my Several pairs of DaFins have taken me on adventures on the ocean and in lakes, and I like the size of these. Those large ones are common among some; however, I believe Fins are simply obnoxious, and we don't need any more of them! This fin is incredible, and I highly recommend it! The following update was made while I was in Hawaii for the summer and used these on a daily basis - It's true that they assisted me in getting through the day. The amount of love I have for these is ridiculous! When she came out to stay with me for a week, she snorkeled for the first time. She liked it so much that she used it as well! Inform them that they have swum with whale sharks and ocean whitetip sharks. My preferred location is by the sea - I spent a lot of time in there, collecting data for the University of Hawaii while also volunteering at a coral reef and using the samples for my coral research. This is an important message once again.

They aren't my cup of tea at all
3/5

Despite the fact that my two idols (Mark Cunningham and David Kalama) endorse them, I refused to purchase these fins. Make an effort to kick as quickly as possible. They don't have duck-like feet. The Churchills' had a foot cut that was designed for walking on water. I used to be a big wave surfer as a kid, so I know what you're talking about. This fin has left me extremely disappointed. From now on, it'll be Churchills for me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

It can be mildly painful if used for an extended period of time
4/5

This type of fin is extremely stiff, allowing the rider to accelerate quickly while maintaining a high speed. I first tried them out in a pool, and I was blown away by their speed. If I kicked hard during the bodyboard, I felt a lot of tension in my ankles, which is probably due to the fact that I've never used fins before and have weak ankles. Those who are used to body boarding, who run frequently, or who engage in a lot of lower-body physical activity may not have any problems. My foot was bruised and sore after wearing the fins for the majority of the day at the beach. In addition to the fin socks, I had (some pretty bad) fin socks that probably trapped a lot of sand, contributing to the feeling of sand in my feet. In the second instance, I haven't used fins in the ocean before, so it's probably just user error. It was fine the first time I surfed beyond the breakers, but once I got up on the board and started kicking, I got tired of staring at the waves. My solution was to walk backwards into the waves, which worked well until my neck became too tired. In conclusion, I would recommend these to beginners and intermediate boarders (not sure about experts), but wear good fin socks with them and practice a little before using them to ensure that your calves and ankles are strong.

This is what we use to bodysurf, and I bought a pair for my twelve-year-old for his birthday and loved them so much that I bought a second pair
5/5

There are a few others that I own in addition to the ones I own. They are a good contrast in color with the ocean and, aside from being relatively easy to spot in the surf if they come off. Flexibility and rigidity It's ideal to have a mix of flexible rubber (primarily in the foot area) and rigid/hard rubber on the fin itself. These fins are surprisingly light in comparison to other fins. You've arrived at the right place if you're looking for a great bodysurfing fin.
