How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

The world's first fin created by fusing three different materials to ensure unrivaled performance.
Made from a special polypropylene that is both reactive and light.
The leg-fin thrust is perfectly transmitted thanks to a soft elastomer that wraps anatomically around the foot.
Although this fin is intended for deep skin diving, it is very popular among Scuba professionals and instructors.
Wear it with or without neoprene socks for a comfortable fit.
Cressi, a brand leader in scuba diving, snorkeling, and swimming equipment since 1946, designed and manufactured the Gara 2000 HF in Italy.

Questions & Answers

Are these suitable for free divers who are just getting started?

Thank you for contacting us. br>br>Beginners will benefit from these fins because they are standard plastic blades, which are softer and more flexible than stiffer composite blades. Thank you, HouseofScubabr>br>br>HouseofScubabr>br>br>HouseofScubabr>br>br>HouseofScubabr>br>br

If not the one depicted, what bag did the fins arrive in? Is there a place to put a mask and snorkel in the bag?

A long plastic bag with a handle is all there is to it. Snorkeling is a good idea, and wearing a mask is also a good idea.

I'm wondering if these fins are suitable for people with wide feet. ?

They are extremely relaxing.

So far, I've used a few fins, but these are the ones I'm looking for. I'm concerned that as I swim, my heel will come out of the fin. Is there any reason for me to be concerned? anyone?

The heel hasn't been a problem for me. It holds its shape well and sits just above the heel. This set of fins was top-notch!

Gara Professional vs
5/5

Gara 2000 HF My friend and I both ordered the professionals and I ordered the 2000 HF. br>After diving with both, the 2000 HF is my favorite. They're a lot firmer, so they can accelerate much faster. br>While the Gara Professional can still go fast (though not quite as fast), it takes longer to get to top speed because it does not accelerate as quickly; however, the tradeoff is that the Gara Professional is less demanding on the ankles because it is softer. I feel a smidgeon of discomfort in my ankles after diving to 40' for about an hour with the HF 2000. br>Another significant difference between these fins is that the professionals were terrible at swimming on the surface. They desired to float above the water's surface. On the surface, the 2000 HF fared a lot better. Because the stiffer blade is easier to control, the 2000 HF is also easier to turn around or maneuver while underwater.

Fin for a beginner that is both good and cheap
3/5

These fins will get you by if you freedive. As far as fins go, they're cheap, and they're exactly what you'd expect from a one-piece plastic fin. fins in a piece I'm a size 12 shoe, and the foot pocket is a little too big for my barefoot without dive socks. After my first extended use of them, I developed a blister on one of my toes. They're sturdy and don't float on the surface, so they won't get in the way of you concentrating on a pre-determined task. dive in and take a deep breath- br>br>Overall, I give them a 3 out of 5 star rating. They're a great beginner set that won't break the bank, but if you want to advance your freediving, you'll need to spend a little more money and get two-piece fiberglass or carbon fiber fins.

They're good, but I'm not sure they're worth the money
3/5

These flippers are really good. They're nice and stiff, so your flip will have a lot of power. However, I only lost one of them and had to purchase a new pair. In the end, I chose the model that was significantly less expensive and which I prefer. Cressi is also a manufacturer. For me, they turned out to be more comfortable and effective. It's possible that I'm not a skilled enough free diver to recognize the benefits of these flippers.

The fit is perfect, and the performance is exactly what you would expect
5/5

Fins are an excellent first set for anyone learning to freedive because they are comfortable and fit well. I'm learning to freedive, and I was worried that having such large fins would cramp me up. These fins appear to be the perfect level of firmness for beginners. I'm very pleased.

Awesome! I had some cheap freebees on the boat, but someone loaned me blue cressi pros, which worked great but the clasp would bang around and fall off, I was nervous about handling these longer fins, but you have to learn to roll over before you can stand up in the smallest fin, these are affordable, but I am so fast in these, I can't say enough good!
