Triple 8 EP 55 Elbow Pads

The size is excessive. I can't even close the velcro because the straps are too tight. Slides down my arms on a regular basis. 10" elbow measurement - As per the size chart, I ordered a medium, which is at the top of the medium size range, so my arm should be the largest that a medium can accommodate. No way.

The first and essentially only issue is that the fabric behind the retention straps is too tight for an xl, to the point where putting them on when I'm at a spot to go skating and my arms are warmed up is inconvenient, and I end up not doing so. Although there is some slack in the Velcro retention strap, there is a flexible fabric behind the straps that must be pulled over your hands and up your arms. I'm not overly muscular or fat, and my arms are normal for an adult, so I believe the xl size should have a lot more room, or they should offer an xxl size; if I wanted to wear a long sleeve under it, which I haven't tried yet, I'm sure it would be frustrating or so uncomfortable that I wouldn't do it. In the worst-case scenario, I'll have to cut the fabric to make more room if I gain more mass in my arms. Otherwise, they do the job. I've only crashed once in them so far, but I still have a working elbow and no skin on the concrete. Padding is adequate, and the appearance is acceptable but not exciting or cool. However, they are only there to save your skin, so eh meh. The best thing they could do is add some adjustability to the straps by adding trenchable fabric behind them or separating them so they don't have to be slid up your arms, or sell an XXL size, as well as more colors. Be safe !.

I was impressed by the fit and quality, but then again, I wouldn't expect anything less from a Triple 8 product. I bought the Triple 8 Downhill Helmet, which is high quality and fits perfectly, so I thought I'd get all of their protective gear. I'm so glad I trusted my instincts and got the elbow pads, which fit perfectly. I did go one size down because my elbow measured about 10" inches. Fit, quality, and comfort are essential for me when riding my Electric Longboard Skateboard in hot weather and at high speeds. It's all about the Triple 8 products!.

These were purchased as part of a complete set for Onewheeling. Hands down the best pads I've seen for the price; FYI, I bought the "slightly used" ones at a discount and they were practically brand new. I believe they were dropped once or twice, as there is a small ding in the hard plastic, but I'd rather save my money. One thing is that I wish I had purchased larges in almost every item I purchased. To avoid it being too small and unusable, I usually order larger sizes. On the plus side, despite being larger than necessary, they do not slip and have held up well when I've fallen.

These were purchased for training on my Onewheel electric board, and I still wear them on long runs. They have saved my elbows numerous times, and they are still in good condition. They are a little pricey, but otherwise I have no complaints.

The pads appear to be of good quality, but the xl will not fit at the top because they appear to be designed for arms with no muscle. It takes a lot of effort to put it on, and it's even more difficult to take it off. The pads are nice, but I wish they came in a larger size.

I got these, and the straps went way past the velcro on mine as well. Because I like the look and feel of these, I decided to find a hack; however, be aware that you may be purchasing a defective product; my solution works perfectly. You'll need to get some YBWM Heavy Duty Adhesive Tape - YBWM Heavy Duty Adhesive Tape - YBWM Heavy Duty Adhesive Easily removed and re-used - Double- Square Wall Fastener Mounting Tape for Office Home Carpet Mats (Sided Sticky Back Hook and Loop Strips Square Wall Fastener Mounting Tape for Office Home Carpet Mats (Black, 12 PCS 1. 5x2. 4 Inch). The issue was resolved after I added the velcro, and the straps no longer hang all the way down. I haven't put them to much use yet because I just got them, but the velcro adhesive appears to be very strong and is working well right now.

One is far too large, as if the wrong strap was used in the manufacturing process. Although both pads are marked as large, there was undoubtedly a manufacturing error.
