Questions & Answers

So, if my thighs are 24 1/2 inches long and my calf is 19 1/2 inches long, what size should I get?

I was in a similar situation, so I had them custom made from their website; it's not much more money, and you'll be happier and safer with the proper size pads. You can also choose your own colors and personalize them!

I'm curious if this is a professional derby or just a professional derby. This is a great deal for a Derby Pro. ?

Derby Pro is a professional derby player. It is an excellent pair of knee pads.

People have been taken advantage of by some businesses. Is there a difference between two and one knee pad?

It's a set of knee pads. One on the right and one on the left

So the size chart goes up to 2xl, but there is no 2xl option when ordering, but there are two 3xl options. What is the procedure for ordering a size 2xl?

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. On Amazon, the XXL size is what you're looking for. It's referred to as 2-inches in technical terms. 3XL.

They were a perfect fit for my colossal thighs! A group of my friends, who range in height and weight from thin to average, decided to try roller derby, which appeared to be a lot of fun
5/5

So I got skates and realized that my almost 6' tall over 300 lb pear-shaped self looked great in the xl knee pads when worn as shin guards because my calves alone are about 20" long. I did some research and discovered that these are pretty much the only option, so I forked over the cash and crossed my fingers ($104 for the kneepads plus another 42 for the elbow pads vs $50 for a L/XL combo pack that included both). I am overjoyed that they have arrived. They're true to size! I wear a size 26 in women's pants, so if they fit me, they should fit you as well. However, if you get them and they don't quite fit, a small adjustment to the first set of Velcro should suffice. br>br>What I like about these over others is that they tighten in two layers. Knee pads for skating are frequently attached to a gasket (similar to a knee compression sleeve) by Velcro straps at the top and bottom. This one is ideal because it doesn't have a gasket; instead, it has a pair of wings above and below the knee that connect with Velcro, as well as long straps to keep everything in place. It will take some time to get used to them, but from what I've read, they become more at ease over time.

Super-comfy, but not particularly long-lasting
3/5

These were purchased with high safety expectations. They delivered on that promise. br>br>I recently fell on 3rd Ave in NYC while riding my Boosted Board. I hit my knees and wrists (both protected) after attempting to run off my fall. I then fell to my elbows (which were protected by 187 elbow pads) and slid onto my stomach. As a result, I have a bad case of road rash and a large bruise on my side, but my knees and elbows (which were both protected by 187 gear) were unharmed. In fact, I barely felt the fall and assumed my side would be fine, but the nasty bruise is proof that I did take a serious tumble (see photo). br>br>However, I purchased these with high expectations for product life, and they fall short on that front. br>br>The top straps are well-made and elastic. The bottom straps are made of woven plastic and are extremely flimsy. Since the first day, they've been fraying. The plastic plates are only slightly damaged as a result of my fall, but the buckle for the bottom straps is severely damaged. One of them was nearly frayed to the point of being unusable. It's a shame! br>br> Because I expected the replaceable plates to wear out before the rest of the gear, I purchased the 187s. That, I suppose, isn't true.

The best damn PPE for skating in the city
5/5

These 187 Killer Pads Pro are the best-built personal protective equipment I've ever seen. The money was well spent. The materials are of very high quality, both in appearance and feel. I can superflysnukka knee drop Kane from the top of the cage with these on and not worry about my knees at all (this is only a figure of speech, so don't try it). I've recently reintroduced myself to the sport of urban skating and thought it would be prudent to invest in some protective equipment. This product blew me away, and the elbow pads are equally well-made and comfortable. I recommend ordering a size or two larger than recommended if you have killer bike riding calves like me. Also included are elbow pads.

It was sent with the incorrect model

"187 KILLER PADS Pro Knee (Black, Large)" is the exact title of the product. "PRO KNEE PAD BLACK" is shown in a picture halfway down the page with the features of the pads, as well as the statement, "The Pro Knee is the ultimate in kneepad protection. " The Pro Knee is the trusted choice of professional skaters and top athletes worldwide, providing unmatched safety through proven technologies and superior materials. "br>br>"The product I received was for the Pro Derby NOT the Pro Knee. "br>br>"The product I received was for the Pro Derby NOT the Pro Knee. " There were no results when I searched the page for the word "derby. " I am dissatisfied with these and will return them as soon as possible.

These pads were instrumental in my survival
5/5

It literally saved my life by preventing me from shattering bones and requiring surgery to reassemble my skeleton. Do they have a substantial thickness? Yes. Is it true that they are a little on the large side? Yes. They do, however, allow you to move around freely, and you can rest assured that these suckers will protect you. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Knees shielded and unafraid Let me say this: you could fall off a ledge in the Grand Canyon and be fine if you landed on your knees
5/5

They may appear bulky, but safety equipment has never looked so good. cool. But here's the thing: if you truly want to improve your sport, fear of falling is the most common reason you hold back and fail to give it your all. That tick or those movements can be done, but fear is an issue. These provide you with the assurance that you will be fine if you fall.

OneWheel has made a fantastic choice
5/5

I spent a lot of time looking for the best protection for my OneWheel when I bought it. I decided to buy these Knee Pads (along with their elbow pads) after reading several reviews. I couldn't be more pleased! I've had a few bad falls, and these things not only keep my knees safe, but they also absorb the impact.

BEST

PADS. BEST. PADS. EVER. They're a little bulky in terms of sticking out from your body, so if you're doing crossovers and you're not tall, you'll have to bend your knees to compensate for the pad. To be honest, the adjustment period is only a day long and you'll be fine. The Pro Derby line is ideal for drills and falls related to derby. BONUS: On their website, you can find colored hard plastice knee caps that you can personalize to match your mood or team colors!.
