I know there are cheaper versions for sale, but you usually get what you pay for. This is my third bicycle with a Chain Guide. This model's plastic is very hard, so it is unlikely your chain will scratch it or break it. When I had my last bike, it had an unreliable suspension It was hard to hold the chain guide firmly into place because of the circular down tube. A bike tube of that kind wouldn't be a good candidate for this product. If you measure the down tube diameter before ordering, this is one of the best buys you can make if you order the correct size (for a circular tube). There are Campagnolo derailleurs on my bikes that allow me to go downshift both the front crank and multiple gears on the rear cassette at the same time. My chain would often get thrown off the front crank sprocket when I performed this action. Attaching the chain guides to the chain NEVER results in this. Ensure that there is about 1/8" clearance between it and the chain so they will not rub against each other. Ignore it, and then forget about Your chain will always stay in place and you will reduce the number of times you have to take the bike off to reinstall You'll enjoy it.
I've been looking into chain catchers after experiencing a dropped chain on one of my bikes. I have the front derailleurs properly set up, so there's no need to use the The seat tubes on a couple of my bikes are round, so a simple unit like this Deda dog fang would work just fine. Having just installed it, I noticed that within the first week the chain dropped onto the small chain ring as expected while on a steep incline. I heard the chain strike the dog fang, then drop onto the small chain ring as I am satisfied with the result because it does what it needs to do.
Installing it was easy and it was an instant fix for an issue most users of this group set face. My recommendation for the most economical solution is this.
Even though the bolt is in a clumsy position, once it is correctly installed it stops all small rings from derailing and drops the chain back onto the small ring so seamlessly you cannot tell that.
The idea of this seemed too simple to actually work, so I was looking for something to keep my mountain bike chain from dropping on rough terrain. Having used it for a while, I'm happy with it and have not encountered any problems I think that these should come standard.
The chainring is protected against slipping off the innermost ring. He or she is a genius for designing this. That's all there is to it It's easy to set up I have tested it out, and it works perfectly. You should give it a try.
It has a great design that is simple, light, and effective. The frame can be saved from being very costly. There are chain stores that sell chains for a few dollars That's a bad policy.
seem to be much of a help. Trying the Dog Fang for the first time on a long ride where dechaining would have been an inconvenience. This is a very lightweight and easy to install product. I tried to be as careful as I could, but the bike tried to dechain in an inopportune time. The Dog Fang kept the chain in place, and a quick backward pedal had it back in place without a hitch and with It's a simple but effective product and idea, thank you.
