Because it's modular, you can leave sections out if you don't want to use them. br>Assembly time is approximately 5 minutes. I'm going to use it in my garage.
I just took a look at my bycycle rack, and the upright tire holders appear to be reversible, so I'd say YES, you can set up the rack with bikes on both sides, but only one tire per holder.
I doubt you'll be able to do so without purchasing a new part entirely.

So, I'm not one of those guys who writes product reviews. Only when a product goes above and beyond or falls dramatically short do I leave feedback, and unfortunately this is one of those times. First and foremost, the product is functional; it is a bicycle rack. The disadvantage is that you must realize you are purchasing a $30 bike rack for $49, but I understand capitalism. br>br>So, to elaborate on my statement, three (3) of the anchor nuts that are installed in the ends of the wheel holders became loose, or were loose from the start, and it was extremely difficult to get them seated back again as I was putting the rack together. (As an aside, I work as an Aviation Engine Mechanic, so I've seen a lot of messed up anchor nuts. ) So I had to re-scribe them with a scribe and a set of channel locks. It took an extra 30 minutes to get seated. After that, one of the spring loaded buttons decided it didn't want to work anymore (see my second picture), so if I didn't bolt the thing down in my garage, it could fall apart. br>br>To summarize, as long as you understand that you are paying $30 for a $30 bike rack (and you can't expect much from a $30 bike rack), you will be fine.

According to some reviews, this rack is flimsy and not worth the money; however, I disagree. br>br>Rack assembles in minutes and is extremely sturdy if the screws are tightened tightly. The rack can be adjusted to fit as many bikes as you need or to the size of your space. My bike is a 29er with disc brakes that fits me perfectly. br>br>We are a family who rides every day, if not multiple times. Bikes are constantly being put in and taken out of the rack. It's a fantastic addition to my neat and tidy garage. And it renders my sturdy wall bicycle racks ineffective for our biking needs. br>br>Excellent value for money and functionality!.
I was skeptical after reading the reviews, but I bought it because I needed a place to store the old bikes we had from when my kids were in elementary school. br>First and foremost, I was taken aback when I saw the instructions for putting it together. There are no instructions, only a drawing. Then I returned to this page and discovered a video. After watching the video, putting it together was a breeze. Then I put the bikes in place, and they were perfect! There is no extra space for the wheels to not fit correctly, so the stand with the bikes looks as it should, and I've organized them in the basement now. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase.
This rack is fantastic, especially considering the price. br>I have 5 bikes and was tired of leaning them against each other, especially since bike 5 is a new carbon fiber bike that I didn't want to scratch. As a result, I went out and bought a bike rack. I was correct in thinking that this rack met all of my requirements. br>It only took a few minutes to put everything together. The funny thing is that when you're putting this thing together, you'd think it'll fall apart as soon as you put a bike inside. This is completely incorrect. It's quite sturdy once it's all put together. br>This is a fantastic rack for the money, and I highly recommend it.
Those characteristics can be beneficial or detrimental depending on your requirements. I have five mountain bikes and need somewhere to store them that is easy to access. So far, the tire holders are large enough to hold two tires. The front rotor and rear derailleur are barely visible due to the 5" tires (bikes are stored head-on). toe). This rack can only handle bikes weighing up to 30 pounds. The tire holders are thin and could be sheared clean through with bolt cutters or a grinder, so it is not strong enough to lock a bike to it. It, on the other hand, accomplishes the task at hand. PRO TIP: Grab a couple of 1" 2- If you want this to stay put, drill holes in the straps (available in the plumbing department) and place a strap every couple of feet. I had a plywood-floored shed, so wood screws were simple to come by. br>With this rack, I can store some very nice bikes in my shed and free up garage space. br>This isn't going to be a heavy-duty machine. As the price suggests, it's bombproof. If that's the case, you'll want to check out this article.
I'm glad this bike rack was on sale for half the price - I'd be furious if I had to pay the entire $80. br>br>I noticed brown discoloration / rust inside the tubes right out of the package. My hands were brown after removing the packaging due to rust on the metal pieces' exteriors (the rust was difficult to see due to the black paint). br>br>I had no idea this was a "click assembly" situation. In theory, it "makes assembly a breeze," but it allows for too much wobble/play between pieces and makes threading screws into the center pieces more difficult.
Once assembled, I discovered that the metal is slightly pliable and can bend if the bikes are not delicately placed on / off the racks
< It's low-cost, shaky, and poorly constructed. In a matter of days, my kids will make this bike rack obsolete - at most a few weeks.
It's pleasantly light and surprisingly sturdy for its size. Although there are few instructions, they are simple to follow. Except for the Allen wrench that comes with the kit, no other tools are required. While the bikes do stand upright in the rack, the end of the fork (where the wheel attaches to the fork) actually hits the rack, metal-on-metal. As the bike is made of metal, it will inevitably suffer paint damage. I tried backing the bike out of the upright section of the rack, but it just keeps rolling forward until it hits. This isn't a problem on adult bikes with larger wheels, but it would have been nice to know about it beforehand. I had to order this item twice because the first package was lost by the US Postal Service! However, the seller promptly resent it to me.
