Questions & Answers

Does this work with wheels that have a maxle or axle of 15 mm or 12 mm in place ?

Yes, but it would be best if you purchased the TS-REXA modem in order to make it work properly The TA*br>Thru Axle Adapter. In order to create the skewer-like axle out of 12mm and 15mm. Additionally, there are two other things. The wheels on 2 do not need to be extended in order to fit 29". It is the older 2 that needs the extension arms. Model 0 is not available.

Is this suited for BMX wheels 20 inches in diameter? Is that my 29er too?

Yes, this works with 20 inch bmx wheels, even when there is a tire on them. When the tire is on, it is possible to do 29 inches. To do a good job on the rim, it is a good idea to remove the tire from the In some cases, it is better to truing the wheel with the tire on the With Park Tool's Truing Stand, you can adjust the height for every style of rim up to 29 inches wide. In my opinion, this Park Tool is absolutely worth every penny since it has a very affordable price. I would strongly recommend this tool to someone who spends a great deal of time repairing bicycles. I would highly recommend this Park Tool as it is a real professional tool. I have no regrets about buying it. I wish you the best,

Do you know if this will work on 16 inch wheels?

You will be able to use it on a 16 inch monitor. From a 27 in. to a 29 in. The best tool I have ever used.

How well does this stand work with wheels on a motorcycle from an MX or Enduro?

If you're interested in wheels for a motorcycle, consider using the park Tool TS7m.

Wheel building and truing are made much easier with this tool
5/5

The MTB business I have is growing, so I bought this. As the hack way of building wheels goes, it uses zip ties to center the wheel however, I wanted to have a tool that would do a much better job of centering wheels moving forward. This tool makes it a breeze. ***In addition to being easy to set up and use, it is highly accurate. A large knob controls the jaws for the axle, the position of the truing arm, and the rim jaws. I want to note a few points You WILL need a Park Tool if you don't currently have one You will need an axle kit if you plan to use this with any of the 15x100/110 and 12x135/142/148/157 wheels, as it does not come with a thru axle to hold the wheels 2) It must be mounted to something, otherwise it has a tendency to tip towards you. This unit costs about $70 if I recall correctly
2. To make a removable base, I used a couple of pieces of plywood. It is possible to use a cheaper truing stand, but after looking at how some of them are constructed, I did not think they were well made or would be up to the task of truing more than occasional rough frames. When it comes to precision, the park stand is your best bet.

I am the only one, the original! The manufacture of them is very similar to what used to be done in the past
5/5

This is the case at least with Park Tool. I worked as a teenager in a bike shop truing and building wheels over 35 years ago. The tool I used in this shop is the same as mine. As far as manufacturing is concerned, the quality is the same. The same precision applies. As a result, I have my own and every time I use it, great memories come back to me. If set up correctly (which is easy to do), it can dish within fractions of a millimeter, so you don't even need a dishing gauge most of the time. it to last a lifetime, so you'll have to decide in your will how you'll distribute it to those you love for a living after you've built wheels with it. It must be a special person for them to be worthy of.

I returned home
3/5

There was a problem with the calibration of the item. As soon as I received my PT centering gauge, I noticed it was out of alignment by several millimeters. They have posted calibration tips on their website but I was unable to use them. There are probably other components that can be tweaked that I missed, but I didn't want to mess with all these extra bolts after so much money has been spent on this. This new version of TS 4 seems to be a better one. I will give it a try. It is common to see online discussion forums about how this feature has some limitations and frequently seems to pull to one side more than the other (always slight off-center). It would have been cheaper to buy the cheaper PT truing stand that only includes one caliper if I had known this. Although it may not be perfectly centered, it will still work if you need it a lot. Although the wheel will be out of alignment, you will still be able to see it. The TS 4 seems to be a good one, so I will see what it's like. I'm just disappointed that this one didn't work out and it is requiring further tweaking.

A standard truing stand for 29 inch wheels, considered the gold standard by other truing stands
5/5

My tried and proven Park Tool Professional Wheel Trueing Stand has helped me true wheels on my own mountain bike, the mountain bikes of friends in our riding club, and the wheels of kids in my neighborhood who dinged their wheels for years. There was almost no plastic used on that unit, and it was a true workhorse for handling almost any kind of In the meantime, along comes the 29 inch standard, and suddenly all of a sudden, guys in my riding club are asking for help with wheels that will not fit in my stand. So we need the updated, TS-31 model. This tool is ideal for the bike mechanic because it allows the mechanic to mount a 29 inch wheel with the tire installed (and also to mount very large fat tires up to 5 inches wide, if modifications are made. ) Consequently, I put my old stand up for sale here on Amazon, and take the $170 that I made from selling it, and put that towards the $250 purchase price of the fully updated TS-510 stand. Within a week, my new stand arrived, and true to form, it is almost entirely made of industrial grade steel. I expect it to be about 20 pounds (9 I popped in my friend's 29 inch wheel he needed help with and I had my first wheel on the TS-150 in a matter of minutes, centered perfectly by the factor It was nice to see that 2 was once again true. With several months of experience under my belt, I have come to appreciate the TS-script's finer points A new feature that stands out from the rest is the ability to work with 29 inch wheels (this includes 650 or 27 inch wheels by default). There are also plastic tips on the calipers that protect the sidewalls of the rims (to match the 5. 25-inch wheels). To prevent scratching on my more expensive wheel sets, the caliper tips on my old Park Tool stand had to be coated in Plasti Dip. Because of this, there is no need to change The default version of 2 includes them, which means you don't have to worry about scratching your rim sidewalls anymore. Also, I like that the design is still constructed of heavy gauge steel like the earlier versions and the springs, screws, and bolts are all heavy duty and intended to be used in the shop every day for years. So, are there any downsides to this? The knobs on the TS-150 are not exactly round, and I am not sure it is to my liking The older stand had slightly indented adjustment knobs that were generally easier to grip. The knobs on the older stand also had slightly recessed knobs. TS-P has also been a blessing to me It was at least stable enough to have a basic attached base. There is also a Park Tool TSB on there In addition, there is TS-2, which was developed specifically for the TS My bill was $22, but I had to pay an additional It is entirely possible, however, for the owner simply to bolt on a self-made wood base if he or she so desires. These are not deal-breakers, but they are points Park Tool might consider when they bring the TS-to market We hope to reach 3 one day. Insgesamt, I think the TS-210 is a good tool It's the same model as my older model, only with the ability to hold wheels of up to 29 inches without scratching the Because of the high quality and attention to detail, it will likely continue to truing wheels for many more years after I die. This is one of the best tools Park makes, and I give it five out of five stars.
