Questions & Answers

Is it possible to pedal the bike at the same time that it is in ?

The error has been corrected. A trainer isn't what it is It is not possible to pedal the bicycle with the bike mounted on the stand. It is a stand intended for securing the bicycle in various positions, such as for cleaning or maintaining the vehicle. The chain can be rotated (forward or backward) by sliding your hands on the pedals.

Is the stand capable of supporting a weight of a certain amount?

On the Conquer Equipment web site, it is stated that the Portable Home Bike Repair Stand can be raised and lowered from 48" to 72" and can bear a weight up to

Any of you ever washed your bike while it was on the stand? Does it rust? (I would rinse it off and dry it well. ?

It seems like it is well made and the paint will last for a long time. It is not an issue for me to wash my bike on it and wipe it down afterwards.

The handle bar clamp/holder is pictured in the picture. Does it come with this?

It does come with it, yes. As a woman on a bike, I appreciate these stands because they are sturdy and hold the bike in any position. I have mine for about a year and it is very stable.

A poorly assembled part will bend when pushed by the weight of the bike
5/5

My boyfriend and I initially thought this was a cheap, chintzy product because the arm which holds the clamp bends greatly once a bike is suspended (like many other users have been reporting). In fact, when we took it apart, we discovered the top part of the standing portion had been There is a small plastic brick positioned inside of the tube which prevents the arm from bending when it is inserted into the correct end. There is no mention of this in the manual, so it is easy to overlook. We've been able to use the bike stand on even the heaviest of our bikes without any problems. On the photos, I'm riding a DH bike that weighs 45 pounds.

Despite one major flaw, this is a good stand
3/5

This is a solid and well-constructed stand for the most part. However, there is one snag and it is rather significant. This stand has a very weak connection between the head of the stand and the rest of the stand, which spreads when a bike is placed on top of A result of this is a tilting of the head (see pictures). As a mountain bike enthusiast, I'm primarily interested in Huffy mountain bikes, which is probably the bike you will most often see people By extending the head collar down the neck and adding more bolts, this issue could easily be corrected by the manufacturer. It would be an excellent stand if this were the case.

The bike cannot be held with the wheels off when it weighs 38 pounds
3/5

Your money is worth saving. There are a few pros to it, the first being that it is free. Despite its fragile appearance, the base is very sturdy and the metal tubing seems to be solid. It has a handle bar stabilizer too, which I like. The only thing I can tell you is that's all. It is made of cheap plastic at the point where the force is applied, the bracket between the main tube and the arm. My 38-pound bike began to flex as soon as it was on the stand. Although it didn't appear to be a big deal at first, I was concerned. The stand gave way and I dropped my bike as I worked on replacing the brake cables. I had just taken the wheels off, removing the brake cables, and replacing the cables when the stand gave way.

You get good value for your money! Like many people, I had been looking at repair stands, and wanted a decent one
4/5

However, like many people, I spent a lot of money on my bike itself, so was on a small budget for a stand. Compared to the stand I originally looked at, most of the ones I searched for cost three times more. Taking the reviews into account, I carefully analyzed them. The majority of the games were good, but there were a few that weren't. The odds weren't great, but I was willing to take the There is nothing I dislike about the stand except that it is sturdy and very well-built. I have no trouble using it with a full suspension bike that weighs almost 30lbs, with minimal vibrations. As opposed to the reviews that indicate it is awkward to clamp on to the top tube, I had no problems clamping it to my seat post, however as many of the reviews stated, I have some concerns with regards to the plastic teeth and clamp rusting prematurely due to their age. Yesterday I then assembled the table in about 10 minutes, very simple to do. used the stand to perform a fork service on my bike last night. It made it so easy to do the work. follow up with this review after using it for more time to see how well it holds My husband is an experienced mechanic, but he likes doing small jobs like changing tires, cables, forks, shocks, and so on in his spare time. I also like that it's portable and folds down, because we live in an apartment As a result I can use it in my living room to work and then store it out of the way when I am not using it. It is nice that the tool tray is included as well. As a result, I've given it a 4 out of 5 for both value and quality. It would have gotten only three if it had been more expensive. In spite of this, it gets a rating of four stars for the price of around $50.

Excellent home stand
5/5

It is a far better product than the photos in this listing show. My main arm actually has a locking mechanism to lock the end of it To prevent the bike from swaying while mounted, the teeth are configured as to prevent it from swaying. As with all clamps, the tube clamp is ergonomic and very capable, but I recommend balancing the bike as much as possible on a stand before clamping (except maybe a heavy duty seat post stand). This lounge is able to tip over without too much of a problem because its leg span is too wide. has plenty of space to hold everything I need to work on my bike, including a magnetic tray and spaces for hex wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, etc. The stand is lightweight compared to heavy duty stands, but is sturdy For those who are over 6 feet tall, the telescoping feature can raise the bike in a very high position. As a stand, I strongly recommendation it only for home use, but for that purpose, it is an excellent choice. Despite my feelings of lightness, I still feel a little bit dizzy. It is the duty of a bike shop to abuse bikes every day.
