My boyfriend and I initially thought this was a cheap, chintzy product because the arm which holds the clamp bends greatly once a bike is suspended (like many other users have been reporting). In fact, when we took it apart, we discovered the top part of the standing portion had been There is a small plastic brick positioned inside of the tube which prevents the arm from bending when it is inserted into the correct end. There is no mention of this in the manual, so it is easy to overlook. We've been able to use the bike stand on even the heaviest of our bikes without any problems.
