This was my first brake bleed, so I bought this kit. It includes the LARGE majority of what you require, but not all of it to be considered "complete. " The syringe and hose work well together, but the hose lacks a collar to help secure it to the caliper's bleed nipple. The weight will pull the syringe off the fork if you don't hold it up or secure it in some way. My bike's brake lever (Ultegra disc brakes) did not accept the reservoir thread - It appears that either a different size thread or an adaptor, both of which are not included, are required. Thankfully, I was able to bleed successfully using the rubber suction thing from my newborn baby as a makeshift reservoir (the stopper even fit into it). Overall, this kit will work, but it would have been better if it came with everything you need.
Pros: has almost everything you'll need to bleed your brakes.
Con: The olives (which are required for hose replacement) were missing, and the bleed block (which also functions as a rotor alignment tool) was broken while adjusting the rotor. br>br>When I bought this kit, I double-checked to make sure there was an olive in the picture, which there was. I'm writing this review nearly a month after my return, and the photos have changed, which is probably a good thing. I was going to put up with it until the block snapped while I was trying to straighten my rotor. Because the funnel threads are so small, you'd think they'd strip- Oh well, it wasn't the block.
Ideal for those who work from home. mechanic in your own home If you plan on doing multiple bleeds, you'll need more mineral oil than the included amount, which is only enough for two full bleeds. Aside from that, it was exactly what I expected. Also included were a pair of nitrile gloves!.
The brake stop is not compatible with the vehicle. The syringa tube has a flimsy quality to it. There was no need for the wrench, and only one Allen wrench was available. Kit appeared to be in good working order.
I'm pretty handy, so I knew I'd be able to do it on my own, but I went to their website to look for a video, and it just made me do the brakes even faster. In 10 minutes, I completed a 5 minute video that I followed along with. I'm very impressed (I don't think I've ever left a review, and I order from Amazon at least three times a week for my business). Who has time for that, but this blew my mind.
Everything you'll need is included in this kit, as well as instructions on how to use it. The process is made simple thanks to videos. I've worked on other bikes before, but I've never touched the brakes except to make minor rubbing adjustments. The process was easy and simple enough that I felt confident doing it with this kit and the videos they provided. I saved a lot of money on this service compared to what the bike shops would have charged.
Everything I needed to bleed my mountain bike's shimano disc brakes, and the instructions made it super simple.
There was enough to do a bleed on the front and back. On the front, I did two bleeds, and on the back, I did three.
