Questions & Answers

Are you able to provide all the specifications and sizes? This is the only thing holding millions of bike users back from purchasing a product?

The Topeak website has all the details you need, and it's very easy to find, so here is what you need to know There are 26 total Allen Wrenches, of which 2 are Allen Wrenches A square of 6 x 4 is required. Three times four is three times three. The square meter*three-quarters of a third. This is a 4" x 1" photo. The size of this picture is 7" by 1". *Past the 6" mark, the weight is 290 grams / 10 pounds. This is a 21 oz. bottle with the Art. No. TT2353.

How much bend is there in the plastic body when larger nuts/bolts are tightened?

As far as normal use is concerned, it does not bend.

When opening the tools, do they have some resistance? Are the other tools still in place after they are used?

Allen wrenches can be difficult to hold in place due to some resistance. If they are fully extended, the box wrenches, screwdriver and knife lock in place. This tool is excellent and I highly recommend it.

Could this be used with a schwinn bike?

I believe that this tool can be used on all bikes since they are all equal and have equal requirements. The bike I own is an old Trek and it's in perfect condition.

Metallic material that is weak
3/5

After a 15-year break, I've just started riding again, so I bought the Alien II to get me back into it. As an avid rider, I used to take the Alien I with me everywhere I went. As soon as I received the Alien II, I thought it was amazing, but when I used it to fix my kids' bikes - one of which broke - the metal piece shattered due to low torque applied by one hand. The metal used for a tool like this would be expected to be of a high quality that will not shatter on its I am inclined to think that improper heat treatment of the metal during manufacture or the use of a brittle alloy may have caused this to happen. While I have only used one tool so far, I'm not sure of the relative strength of the other tools, but I do notice that they are made from a different metal alloy so hopefully they will last a bit longer. My first attempt was to find warranty replacement information on the Topeak website but it redirects me to the Todson Inc website which navigates me in a loop if I try to find warranty replacement information.

It is very useful, but is overpriced compared to other There has been an excellent selection of tools, they are clearly labelled, which is a huge plus, and the tools are of high quality
3/5

In the same vein as most multis, the tire levers are awful however, carrying some small Pedro's levers would be preferable. I love how easy they make it with the spoke hooks.

My issues upon receiving it were the weight, poor quality attachment for the two sides, and the size, and I ultimately decided it needed to be returned. The same piece of equipment can be yours for half the price.

The importance of consistency cannot be overstated
4/5

My mother bought me one of these back in the 1990s. It has been so long since I had it that I'm not sure what it's like. The process was a bit clunky and awkward, but it seemed to work and never stopped. The limitations of this compact tool seemed to be inherent in its design. What would you prefer - a great hex key set or some help when you need that function? Yes, of course. However, that would add bulk, or add pieces you could lose, or the like. I never got the impression that there were any obvious flaws in the Alien II! Its designers had made reasonable and necessary tradeoffs and everything worked perfectly. took a look at Amazon search results for a bike multitool after losing my old one recently I was happy to see it pop up in the results. In the end, I did not care about new or improved tools I just wanted to replace the one The ability to make decisions without having to think about them is very appealing to me. I ordered one of them - There are no obvious differences, except that it is not as dirty or scuffed as the old one.

Aliens have taken control of this planet
5/5

It is a very handy multiple tool kit that is compact and convenient. A similar item used to be owned by me, but I put it into storage. As I now live on the west coast, I have to buy another tool since I left one behind at home. I am basically duplicating and buying the same things I left behind As such, I can pretty much speak from experience as to why the Topeak Alien tool is so valuable. In addition to the Topeak Alien, there are other multitools such as Crankbrothers and Specialized. I prefer the Topeak Alien as it has a wide assortment of tools to do repairs when I am out of It is true that other tools can do the same thing, however, Alien has an array of tools that few other companies can match. In this case, the tool is slightly heavier but it makes sense since it has a more diverse tool selection, rather than a simple 15-function tool with a much lighter weight. There is probably a case for carrying a lighter tool when competing in XC races. When it comes to what I put in my hydration pack, weight doesn't affect what I put in it, but having the right tools is enough to get me out of a bad situation. That weighs just under 5 pounds, which I consider reasonable. Considering its price point, I find the tool to be a great buy. It has a nylon pouch to put the tool in.

It is impractical Almost 90% of the tools are unused, and many of them are too small to perform Is over-stated Definitely hyped up
3/5

Most of the tools in this set are not used by me, but when I need two, I use this set. It is impossible to use a 5mm allen key because it is too short. The Wahoo I am using cannot be secured Because of the front mount, I can mount it to my bike. b) because it has a little bit of everything, but it has the same problem All these tools have such a small form factor that they don't allow enough reach to reach tight spots or work around obstructions If you plan to ride for the day, perhaps a set of allen keys with a longer reach will be best. A chain break or a severe problem will probably need you to find a shop or hitch a ride anyhow. This tool is in no-man's land, as far as I can tell.
