A worthwhile investment
5/5

Every single one. It costs penny. Here are some pictures that prove it. My cables were cut like butter with some bolt cutters, barely scratching my ABUS when they did it. A BIG THANK YOU TO ABU S FOR MAKING A TOP-RATE bike lock!.

I don't like it at all
3/5

You will be able to unlock the lock When one arm is locked, the other one can be removed. Until I was on a crowded rack, I thought this was impossible. As soon as I turned the key, I had to lock the lock without seeing if both arms were seated in the lock The lock was engaged with one arm in the lock, but now I could not disengage it because the key was in the lock and it was stuck. It is important to put the U through the lock both ends, and be able to see that it is in the lock when you lock the bike up. If you decide to purchase the lock, make sure the U is in the lock both ends. An extreme unhappiness would result if one end of the U was in and the other was not on a blind lock up.

Despite the U Lock's security, thieves can cut any lock in 30 seconds
5/5

A few days ago I received my tough new Abus Granit XPlus 540 U Lock and installed it on my " Hot " RCS E-Type Rear Bar. The mount bracket for the lock had to be modified as the bolts interfered with the sliding of the lock into place. It was easy to countersink the Hex hole side just a little bit and to put the bolts in from that side so they wouldn't block the access to the Hex hole. Although this Abus 540 Plus X is probably the best U Lock on the market it does have a few limitations. There is a warning here, even these can be cut in about 35 seconds with a battery portable grinder/cutter from the video I saw on line. Make it harder for thieves to get away! Use more than one deterrent!.

It was supposed to be 300mm, but I received 230mm instead
3/5

I just wanted to be clear even the lock I got is great. It seems that the work on the Abus is of very high quality. The eight inch). A 230mm lens is likely to be more widely available than a 300mm lens. As my bike has some space between the downtube and the rear wheel, I specifically sought out the 300mm version. To make sure I would be able to use this lock, I wanted to make sure it would accommodate the motion. In order to obtain this lock I ordered the "ABUS Granit X-M" The Plus 540 + USH Bracket 300mm LS Shackle U-shaped From the Amazon Global Store UK, Locks is expected to be available in February 2020. A very small packing slip with very tiny print was inside of the damaged box which was received on February 15, 2020. Additionally, I have received the standard text in both electronic and printed form I received mail messages stating my lock had been delivered, but it had not been There is no filling in the blanks. It was great that Amazon was able to refund my money. As the odds of another mishap are slim, I ordered the lock again thinking it would be less likely to be lost or stolen. As shown in the ad, I placed my order on February 20, 2020 from Amazon Global Store UK again, on the same page advertising "ABUS Granit X-5" The Plus 540 + USH Bracket 300mm LS Shackle U-shaped There are locks. " It appears that I received my Abus lock on March 10, 2020, but it has the 230mm shackle, not the 300mm. I must pay the postage if I want to return this item because it is international. Amazon's return policy states that. As per their policy, they will reimburse up to $20 for shipping after receiving the product, but any excess will have to be handled by customer service. My bike is much smaller than the lock, so maybe I'll keep it if it fits my bike. Unfortunately, I am disappointed that I had to go to all this trouble and wait so long to receive the wrong product, which is a lot harder to return than what Amazon offers domestically.

There seems to be a lot of U-turns in these A can be used to cut locks
5/5

My U-Boat was made of Kryptonite A lock from about 30 years ago, I thought it would be sufficient for the bike my son was taking When I found out that there were so many stolen bikes in the first week of him starting college, I decided to rethink the lock I Then I went to Google and searched for "you" I kept going back to this lock and numerous others, since it seems that most of these locks have one key. A bolt cutter larger than the one that cuts locks can be used. It was decided that I would buy the ABUS U-foot It served the same purpose as a bike lock, it was much cheaper than buying a new bike. It is heavy, you can feel that when you take your hands off of Since my son doesn't plan on carrying the device around for very long, weight isn't an issue. A lock carrying holder provided on his bike will allow him to carry the lock either at the bike stand or on the bike itself. Our family loves this lock, and we are certain that it will keep his bike safe this The tires were also taken into account with a 7 ft' cable. Initialy, we tried a 4 ft cable, but it was just a bit too tight, so the extra 3 ft made a big difference.

Peace of mind for the whole family! It is obvious that the workmanship is of high quality
5/5

No matter how loyal you may be to your current products, you simply cannot compare to this lock, this lock will win over for life! The shackle is inserted into the lock in a way that really gives you an impression of solidity and security. It's almost as if you were driving an extremely high quality German sedan as you closed the door. inside height of the shackles is 12 inches and the inside width is 4 inches. My fat tire electric bike has an inside width of 25 mm, which is great for me If I want to secure my bike to a rack, I can wrap it around the rear tire and my seat tube and use another to secure it to the rack, or I can secure the rear tire and lower frame to the For me, the weight is not an issue, but the ease of use and its small size make it very convenient. It is attached to my rack and tube for transport since I do not feel that the included mount will hold up to my application and riding habits. do not want it to suddenly drop by 30+ miles per hour. Think it over, just do it, I earned the recommended 10% of the value of my bike by selling two of them.

I needed too much overkill, who knew? To lock up my trek, I used a heavy chain
5/5

There was more than enough, in my opinion. You'd be surprised to learn that it could be defeated in less than a minute. That sucker is not for me. There is plenty of HEAVY DUTY on this. With a fantastic frame mount included, this is a very substantial item. As far as I'm concerned, that works well, too. I mounted it on the rear tire triangle on the outside of the bike. There are no issues with it at all and it's easy to unlock and lock. From my humble point of view, this is the best lock out there. It will take an intruder at least a few minutes to get my bike if they try to steal Take a look at some of the independent insurance reviews from the UK to see how your current lock stacks up, and you'll be back to buy this right away.
