There is a great deal of texture here, and 25 of them covered about 4' X 9' which is sufficient for my 6-year-old to scale. 200lb adults have used the items and they have held up well, and don't get too hot in the sun or get A series of 2X6 boards were attached to the drill holes with washers and screws purchased from Home Depot. On one side of the board we made it hard, and on the other side we made it easy.
I bought them for my kids to build a climbing wall. Children and beginners will find them a good size. It feels as though they are very I recommend using two screws instead of 2 1/2" if screwing into decking that has the reverse side There was an issue with the shipping and the seller took immediate action to resolve.
These were used inside our house to build a climbing wall. The boys have a reading area above their room and this is the perfect way to go in and out of it. Attaching the squares through a thick plywood wall and providing extra support by inserting 2x4 strips behind the plywood wall for the screws to go through, gave us a strong connection.
So far, they seem to work fine. I bought them to drill into a tree in my front yard. I've mounted them using the screws recommended by the manufacturer. I like climbing anything, as does one of my sons. They are slightly more timid than the other two. As a kid I used to free climb trees and rock walls so I am familiar with this sport. A confident climber may be able to hold on to the handholds.
Smells like rotten eggs! I opened the box a few days ago and they have been sitting outside ever since. As they were originally intended to function as an indoor climbing wall for my kids, I will no longer be able to use them. This was due to the hardness (my kids will be shoeless) and odor. It is less expensive for me to hold on to them for one day use outside than to return them and pay shipping. We are sorry to inform you that the smell is unbearable. Although some reviews say that the product can be washed, I still find it unsettling the idea of having something with such a bad odor in my house and used by my children.
The mount has been mounted. A 5" wood and carpet is placed on top of all that so there won't be splinters. This was a big hit with my kids! 10), I love the natural looks that blend in with the family room and especially enjoy the fact I think it will be worth it!.
I really like how cool they look and how nice they sound. There is something special about these rocks. There's a cute look to them, and they feel good. It offers a variety of grips depending on how you position it when you mount the hold. Each is about the size of a palm. The set will serve as a playset for the outdoor. You can smell the "we just made these for you manufacturing*" smell as soon as you open the box. Apparently that's normal based on a piece of paper. There was a slight smell for a few days, then it It was stated and expected that they would not come with mounting hardware.
Small handholds, yes, for adults, but for adults who know how to use them. As a rule of thumb, they are easier to manipulate with fingertip grasps as opposed to deep grips.
