After going to the Roan Highlands in NC last month with my Merrell Blaze Aeros, I realized that they weren't appropriate for rocky mountain hiking since my ankles were rolling and twisting like crazy. I can't believe how comfortable they are, and there was no breaking in The first thing I did when I opened them was wear them straight out of the box for 4 hours The hike was a five miler, and I didn't feel discomfort or blisters!
