Questions & Answers
Despite living in Idaho, where the summers are relatively cool, walking in these shoes in the summer made my feet extremely warm. Spring and fall are the best times for these. The other answer states that you should keep fairly warm, so I'm not sure how they would fare in a really cold winter, but according to the other answer, one poster said they would be alright. While summer isn't certain for me, I don't know about the winter. You may sweat more with these shoes, which is not a good thing.
This is a very warm and cozy sweater. It was never cold on my feet even if it was wet or freezing outside.
They are, indeed.
It is Columbia's water-resistant material that makes this boot waterproof. In its current state, it has no omni-channel capability The shoes can be fitted with any type of technology. There is, however, a waterproof seal on the label. Please feel free to ask any other questions you may have.

A 8 is what I am. An 8, ordered a 5. I only had five blisters the following day when I went to work. There are no water problems with them. It is good to grip The cons are In spite of the fact that I read a lot of reviews before buying these boots and trusted them, my boots did not fulfill Columbia is my brand of choice, but these boots get extremely hot if you let them sit in the sun for even a few minutes. Often I have to put water on your feet to cool them down because they feel like they are burning. The island I work on is full of cholla and prickly pears and I hike through these areas. My boots were soaked to the skin by the cholla! A very painful experience. It's even worse because it's the only pair of boots I have on the island, so I have to suffer with them until I can.
I recommend you size up to 5! I'm usually a size 9 most of the time. When I read the reviews, I was a bit unsure if I should size up or down. For my Nike free run 5 I got a size 10 because I did that for the only shoes I've ever done that for. As a prime member, I'm used to the free returns, so I bought 9 items and returned them for a full refund. The 9 will do for me. With the size 9, I only feel a slight amount of pressure and my big toe press against the top of the boot. This shoe is very stylish in person and I think it is perfect for our Iceland camping trip, as it gives us more space. And yes, the shoe is larger than it appears in photographs. I will update my other review once I return from my trip (may 2017) to report on how it performs. The following updates have been made since we returned home The best boots I've ever seen. There is no time needed for a break-in. I do find that occasionally one of my ankles rubs against it. Wear high socks no matter what. Despite being a moderate hiker, I am still very happy with the quality, style, and price of my backpack. It would be a good purchase for me.
They fit perfectly. A very comfortable chair. It is true that this shoe is completely waterproof, except that if the shoe is submerged and water enters the shoe through the opening for your toe to go in, then the shoe will not be waterproof. Footwear stays completely dry, aside from that. There's something magical about that! Though they do get dirty after a while- If you watch the video, you can see a spot of dirt on the left toe that was already there before I dipped my foot in the water. I haven't cleaned them yet however.
It would have been better for me to read more carefully the reviews. This is the second time I have re-visited When looking at the negative commentary, it is clear that warnings are all over the place. Even when I order the boot in the correct size, the step crease in the top of the boot always makes contact with the top of my big toe, which makes me feel pains, then causes the skin to fall It seems to be a common complaint for this boot, as I have never experienced it with any other shoe or It was not immediately apparent to me what the problem was when I tried to boot up In reality, the pain didn't begin until I had hiked for a mile or two, and then it just kept coming. In an appropriate pair of socks (fancy SmartWOOL designed specifically for hiking), I wore fine. As a result, I rated two stars instead of one, because these would have been perfect for me if the toe issue wasn't there. I would have loved to have been one of the lucky ones who missed the crease wreaking havoc on my toes. I love how they look, they are strong, lightweight, and provide great ankle support.
The first thing I would like to mention is I cannot speak highly enough of these boots and you actually can't go wrong with them. Even though I was exposed to various weather conditions and water on my road trip, my boots looked great and are still in perfect condition! Among the places we visited are Arizona, Utah, and The Grand Canyon, Joshua Tree, Zion, and Salt Lake City are all popular tourist attractions. were getting wet and muddy, and these boots were up to the job. With one exception, we did not experience snow, because although we Californians were feeling the chill already, the locals said the weather was actually really great, and there were not many storms this year. Nevertheless, the boots are extremely lightweight and practically don't require you to break them I spoke to my friend who owns Hi Tech hiking boots, and she said these Columbia boots were much lighter than them. It was so comfortable to walk between them and they were As expected, the size fits if you order half a size bigger, and the waterproofing kept my feet nice and dry while walking through the rapids. As far as I can tell, this would definitely keep you dry, but only if the shoe itself kept you dry, not the rest. In addition, they have a great I was very pleased with how well they worked whether we were on wet rocks, or gravelly or sand covered rocks that would easily give way, making you slip or fall.
When I wore these boots for a few steps, I removed them right away because they were so painful! In order for them to bend at the spot marked on the diagram, the way the boots are stiched causes them to bend there. It hurts even though I have heavy socks on. The distance from the bend point to where my toe begins rounding down when I'm barefoot measures 1 3/4" while my socks are 1 1/4". To fit the boots correctly, the boot should measure 2 1/4" in that area after adding 1/2" for fitting. Here's the problem this area of the boot is an inch too short! When I said the boots 'fit as expected' above, I meant that they felt great standing in them, but miserable when walking in them. This is an old complaint from some women with this boot, as it is mentioned in some of the reviews.
Despite reading reviews, I decided to order a half size up to make room for a pair of thick After trying them on, they were a little bigger than I expected. My feet were able to move about quite a bit. The first thing I noticed was the slight pain in my toes that had been mentioned to me by others. As a result, I decided to go to a sporting goods store where I came across the same boot in my regular size. I tried them on and instantly noticed the There is no pain in the toe crease! I wore them with a medium weight wool sock and they fit perfectly. As they were on sale cheaper than what I could find on Amazon, I bought the smaller size and returned the larger. I went right out on a short hike in them and they were great to wear. I recommend getting your regular size, unless you have wide feet.
