You can't remove it since it is The only boots I will wear in the winter are these three-season boots because I hike regularly in the White Mountains. despite how tough they are (and despite how durable they are! ), they do hold up. I've worn a few hundred miles on my third pair of the shoe as part of the sole grips are coming off.
I really enjoy the comfort and light weight of these boots. There is more arch support in these boots than in any other shoes I have owned. The shoes I wear for work every day are 10s of dollars The boots are comfortable for me to wear for 12 hours a day and do not hurt my feet and knees or tire my legs like subpar boots have. my second pair of keen boots that I have owned and I have been very pleased with them both! I have had no problems with them either. I still wear my old pair after 2 years and they are still in great shape
Having a true medium width foot, these shoes are just right for me. These boots are awesome, and I imagine they'll be loose for you because they're so big.
The Keen 8 is the shoe I wear. The number 5 has been around In the summer of 2010, I went with the 9 since my feet were changing. As a result, the length of the 9 was fine but the width of the shoe was too wide. I felt too wobbly in the ankle and my feet shifted enough side to side that I couldn't Over a period of 3 years, I wore a size 9 for easy hikes and day wear. The 8 is where I spent the most time. When it was time to replace it, it was number 5.

It's the best pair of shoes/boots I've bought in a long time! I wear a size 8-9. 5 The widening of the feet appears to be the trend for 8 1/2-year-olds. These boots were extremely comfortable straight out of the box. It had just the right amount of space for my wide-ish, square toes (which has been a bit of a problem for me in recent The beginning of this year, I bought a pair of low-rise sneakers My yearly trek to Wyoming to visit my parents had me wearing top Merrells, and I immediately realized my mistake for not getting mid-highs I bought the Keens for a fall hiking trip in southeast Tennessee. I am having a hard time finding high boots, especially with all the prickly pears. Even after sliding on rocks into a freezing creek, my feet stayed warm with these socks. Creek water did make its way over the ankle a bit, but they were waterproof. But I did not notice my feet had become wet until hours after taking the boots off that I had seen they were wet. In addition to having exceptional ankle support, the footbed is very comfortable, and I have been wearing insoles in every pair of shoes I own for a couple years now because I suffer from plantar fasciitis. It's not necessary to wear insoles Now that I wear them to work every day, too, I wear them to work from now on. As of today, I am standing a little over two feet off the ground It was common for my feet, ankles, and knees to ache in the afternoon since I worked for 9 hours a day. Despite the Keens, I'm not wearing them! Their awe-inspiring beauty makes me feel at peace.
While hiking the Inca Trail during the middle of the rainy season in Peru, I recently returned from the trip. My first step was to google the best waterproof hiking shoes, and I found these weren't on the list, but they were in my price range, so I bought them My feet stayed dry for the entire four days and three nights that I was on the trail, despite it raining every day at least a little bit. Those around me did not enjoy the hike as much as I did. There was a woman who purchased Salomon hiking boots that are rated #1, and she was unhappy with their quality and that their feet were wet. These shoes are in addition built to last. The trail has never been Stones of varied sizes made up most of it. It was no problem to bump the tops of these shoes into rocks, and they never fell apart. I appreciated the ankle support, as well. These boots are also the most comfortable shoes in my closet, so I'm convinced. They would be great to wear every day of my life. I work in a hospital, so I would probably be frowned upon if I did that. Having ordered products from Amazon at least twice a month for the past one year, this is my first Amazon review. It is my pleasure to write a review for a product that has so thoroughly impressed me. The boots are a good purchase. Choosing to do so won't be a regret.
Usually, I wear hiking shoes but, due to the terrain we would be hiking this year, I wore boots as it was described as "rugged" and "very difficult" due to the rock, inclines, and long stretches of cratered-looking areas. Some mild rock climbing, and venomous snakes close by. Rocks (like what you'd find on the moon), some mild rock climbing. It was highly recommended that one wear hiking boots when taking the trail. As a result of being a little late in getting hiking boots, I only managed to wear them for a brief 3 mile walk before hitting the trail with my 28-pound A hiking companion of mine wore running shoes while hiking. surprise, we discovered we had both chosen to wear the same hiking boot on this trip (Keen Women's Targhee II Waterproof Hiking Boot). It was literally as if she pulled the boots right from the box before hitting the trails. Our boots were not broken in yet, so neither of us had done so. I found the first day on the trail to be the most difficult Over the course of over seven hours, both of us hiked in our new Keens across extremely rugged terrain in our new shoes. On this trip, or any day of the trip, neither of us had a single blister. Their broken ribs were filled with blisters (and our husbands wore blisters on their faces) The boots are in). I really like the way the boots fit right out of the box, and the traction is fantastic. Because my feet are wide, it has been hard to find hiking shoes that fit well in other brands Despite these issues, the Keen boots fit perfectly and do not cause foot numbness or bruises. To keep the boot loose at the toe box while enabling me to tighten it at the ankle, the lacing design has worked nicely. Even though I am used to wearing hiking shoes, I did not notice any increased drag or weight on my feet. In terms of problems, only sweaty, odorous feet arose when I switched to my clean socks from REI mid-season A pair of hiking socks that is light in weight, I had sweaty feet and most of them were dangerously damp because I was sweating from the socks in my hiking shoes (a problem I normally don't have). In contrast, when I switched OFF my Darn Tough Boot Socks (which I had worn on Day 1) and wore them consistently for the hike out on Day 3 and the hike back on Day 4, none of these problems occurred. The sock weight for this boot should be considered carefully if you will be hiking in warm It was about 75 degrees F each day when we were there. Although the weather on our trip was beautiful the entire trip, we never had the opportunity to test how well these boots were waterproof. The boots have a short lifespan of about 40 miles, so I will update my review when we hike in rainy weather and once they have had a chance to bear the test of time. As of right now, they have only clocked about 40 miles.
This is an excellent pair of My first hike with the boots was a 5 mile hike in the Shenandoah National Park, during which I scrambled along rock faces. Rocks were no problem for the boots due to their good traction. I didn't slip once walking two miles up steep incline up wet rocks in a downpour on a steep incline in a downpour to get back to the car with my friend. The size 7 fits me well. These fit as expected so I did the 8 in these and they were a good fit.
My hiking trip was 9 days out west. I completed that trip the day before I brought these, so there was no time for me to break them in. As someone with plantar fasciitis on one foot and lower back issues, these were the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They are almost as comfortable In spite of the long travel, my feet were not sore. They are sturdy and can be used for climbing, jumping, and walking as well. There is nothing I would rather do than to be happy. On slick rocks as well as in sand, the tires gripped well.
Unfortunately, these boots aren't up to the mark. I can't get my toes in them because they're too narrow. It is always wonderful to see Keen create wide toe boxes for many of their shoes and boots, but unfortunately this design is not included in these. An extremely sensible design for people with a wide toe area but one that makes the shoe extremely comfortable. If Keen could mention this in the descriptions for the different shoes, it would be helpful to consumers. You almost feel like your toes are being shaped into a form. A good example of this are the Presidio shoes. I have no trouble using them other than that. They are sturdy Keen hikers as usual. The only time I will wear them is for shorter hikes or walks.
