When I received these hiking boots, I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't find them heavy at all and as soon as I put them on they were very comfortable. As I was leaving for a trip right away, I had no time to break them in. The only time I wore them was around the house. My experience with them in Costa Rica included rainy days during which they worked well. The front of the shoes were covered with wet mud on a few occasions. Every time I returned from a hike, I washed my socks down and they didn't seem They are absolutely the kind of hiking boots I would buy They looked like new after they were rinsed!

I really like these hiking shoes. A trip to Kauai required the use of this product. Walking on rocky trails, the shoes provided a stable grip while the fit was comfortable. When I was in Maui, they got wet and I had to air dry them outside for 24 hours, then blow dry them for a few minutes. It took about an hour and a half for them to be dry and comfortable.
