Pads are for a board that measures 23-1/2" x 18-1/2"
I have no idea what that means. The product I bought several years ago can never be fastened because I've never been able to figure out how to do I have no idea what the instructions mean. I only know of one thing you can do to learn to surf try to find a local surf shop and ask one of the staff members to teach you. G'Day! Hope you have a wonderful day. If I was you, I would end up breaking the bank to install "real" and permanent Thule racks.
That is not at all what I meant. The same thing happened to me on my SUV, and I was just thinking the same thing. However, this is not true. As a result, I forgot to return it and did not have the chance to return it. It is by far one of the worst products I have bought on Amazon.

I loved the surf pad and strap until the day the strap broke A 30am start. It is not unusual for straps to dry rot when they are constantly on the roof. Dakine straps are by far the best. I have since purchased new pads and I can barely tell the difference in quality between the two. Each time I see a person with these straps on their roof, I try to climb up next to the vehicle to remind them that they need to change them.
They have been in my possession for more than 9 years in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. I can only think of one complaint the straps are a little short for anything more than two It has lots of wax buildup in it, so the pads are faded, but there are no rips in them. They are excellent pads that I would buy again if I needed new ones in the future.
This item is pretty good for the price. The foam pieces only barely adhere to the wide cross members on my Xterra. You may be able to tie down 3 short boards with the straps (I had tied down longboards but you might be able to do it with 3 short boards). In my opinion, these offer a good value for the price, but they come with some If I tie down more than one board, I usually tie a third strap around each board for extra I think a part of it has to do with the cross members of the Xterra being closer together than I would like to hold nine-footer.
There have been a lot of reviews that mention the written instructions that come with the product are In the end, all I needed to figure out how to get the components to fit together was a squint at the (really bad) pictures that came with the written instructions, and a look at the pieces themselves. I was able to get everything to work once I got everything set up. A longboard my son rides with me is about 20 miles away, and our car does not move when it is traveling at speeds up to 60 mph. As for the actual product, it is great. As a result of the useless instructions, I knocked off an entire star from my rating.
Some people pointed out that they can be a little noisy on the freeway (basically, the straps vibrating in the wind), but other than that, they're fantastic! My board is 9ft long and I use them on it.
I needed something like this and it has been perfect for me. Both parts of the grip go through the hoop, and I've used it with the grip on the inside and on the outside, and it works as expected. The instructions were a little vague, but after a minute or so I figured it out and it works as expected.
My roof rack is too big to put on my car, so I am unable to use it. It was impossible to figure out how to install the part from the instructions and the drawings. When a car does not have a roof rack, the webbing is run through the door and inside. In return, I sent it back. The bungee cords that I now use serve my purposes.
As a result of my use, a strap that holds the cushions to the rack tore after a couple of months. Zip ties are now used to attach them.
