Questions & Answers
It all depends on how high it is, and if the bolts are too long, you can swap them out for shorter ones.
It does, but because my truck rack was wider, I needed to purchase longer bolts.
These should fit any vehicle with top-mounted rack bars.
If you swap out the bolts they give you for smaller ones, you'll be fine.

This set of racks is excellent. I had to purchase longer straps (12ft, $3 at Harbor Freight). 80) because the included 8-foot straps are too short; kayaks fit snugly and I'm able to load them without difficulty.
I bought this rack because it was one of the few that would fit my Thule Tracrac crossbars (I had to replace the carriage bolts with longer ones due to the crossbars' thickness). There are two touring kayaks, each with a capacity of sixteen people. 5' and 17' in length, with a combined weight of around 120 lbs. They're easy to load on this rack, and once strapped, they're very sturdy. This rack went above and beyond my expectations.
The rack is quite nice. It took me about 45 minutes to put it together and put it on. On my Outback, it looks really good. It would have been much easier if I had had a step stool. The straps aren't long enough to reach the front and back of the car, just so you know. That isn't to say it wasn't advertised as such. br>Even when strapped to a rack, the kayak is quite sturdy. Keep in mind to place thumb nuts beneath the table. I like that I don't have to take it off to get into the garage; I just fold it down. Things on the roof have been forgotten in the past.
The rack is in good condition, but the washers for assembly are missing.
They were simple to put together and did a good job of holding the kayaks in place. The only problem was that I was using them with two tandem kayaks, and the straps were insufficiently long. To secure the kayaks to the racks, I needed to purchase some ratchet straps.
I bought two sets to transport four kayaks on my Nissan Frontier. It was so simple to put them together that I didn't even bother to read the instructions until they were finished. Stainless steel and aluminum hardware of the highest quality. At 17 pounds per pair, they're quite heavy. I like that it folds up so I can leave it on and still fit it in the garage.
The supplied bolts couldn't be used because the bars weren't tall enough. I discovered that the bolts are not standard, and that I am unable to replace them with shorter bolts because the supplied bolts have smaller heads than standard. I've spent $30 on replacement bolts from Ace, Home Depot, and online, but none of them will fit into the holes on the rack. It's the HEAD SIZE, not the bolt SIZE (8mm or 5/16), that's the issue. Because I can't find replacement bolts for this rack, I'll have to return it.
Because many reviews stated that the straps were too short, I purchased extra straps. It is not at all required. They are exactly the right length with about a foot of slack if you strap them in according to the instructions. I'm not sure if those reviews were for the folding ones or if they had shorter straps than mine, but I ordered the non-folding ones. They were fantastic when it came to folding ones. This item is extremely durable. It was a bit of a pain to install, but I'm never very good at it.
