Questions & Answers

The top of this thing aligns vertically with the top of a Tundra tailgate, right?

The Tundra should line up with a Tacoma and its height is adjustable too *br>It should work the same for a Tacoma

Do you think this will work with Decked bed storage?

Thanks for getting back to me. I was not aware of what a deck bed storage system was. My 6' 6" truck bed is the same as the one I hang my 14' and 12' kayaks from. As I play with my long arm, I am positioned below the position of my bed floor. If I tie up my kayak to the long arm of the table, I pull the long arm up in order for the table to reach the floor. It is my hope that this makes sense. You should find a store that has an assembled long arm test in order to determine whether it is suitable for you. I wish you the very best of

Do you know if this long arm extension will fit In order to put kayaks forward, I want to put my hood in front of them. In addition to towing a fifth wheel, we also use a trailer. ?

As long as you have the additional height extender, this should work. A Honda Ridgeline serves as a roof rack for this, so I'm transporting kayaks from the roof rack.

Can a kayak be loaded into it at its maximum capacity and can two kayaks be stacked?

There are two Perception kayaks we carry, one 9 footer and one 9 footer. We used two bed and a hitch. One is 8 feet and one is 11 feet. A Yakima website states 300 pounds is the maximum weight for the bed and hitch. You can only load 165 pounds on top of the roof of your truck.

The company offers a great product
4/5

This is my third bed extender (the other two were of different brands) and all of them wobble. My approach to all is just to accept the fact that there will be a wobble, which I have owned a variety of extension cables before, but this one is the most versatile. This has been paired with an extender that allows for 12 inches of clearance. Since it allows you to put the extender in the upright position without having to remove any of the bars, that is why I chose it. When I unload my kayak at the bottom of my truck, I use this to park. Parking with the extender upright will not require me to take up two parking spaces. Although it sticks out a bit, it does not stick out as far as other extenders may. In addition, with this hitch extender, I can set the Yakima extender upright and use my original hitch, laying my tailgate down and leaving about two inches between them. A high-quality product that I highly recommend.

It is a must-have for pick up trucks
4/5

Works well, and I would purchase again. Perhaps not from Amazon this time. In driving and wind, with the vibration of the vehicle, the stabilization straps can (and have) become loose enough that they unhook in the process. There was some slight cosmetic damage to my arm, not sure if it was a returned item, but not too big of a My apology is that if I didn't have to do it by myself in winter, I would have taken a kayak on the roof of the car photo. The arm extension is sold separately it did not sit flush with the top holes, so you have to start at the second, I took it off to place my kayak in my truck bed, but probably could have left it on, but took it off because the angle made it difficult to maneuver. For safety reasons, you should purchase both and the best straps. Let's not let this opportunity pass us by.

I'm happy with how it works
5/5

There are four kayaks - two of which are 2's I have computed the 14' and 2' terms as follows The 12' mark. The two on top sit on top, and the two in the middle Paddleboards can be transported in a bed that is 6 1/2 feet long. It makes a big difference having the bed extension. Despite its light weight and sturdy construction, the unit is extremely durable. This is a well-made product, with well-done welds and a good finish. Initially wanted to use a Yakima lock for the unit, but too many bad reviews thwarted my plans. Whenever I am in an isolated area or using kayaks that I am using that day, I detach the unit or secure it with steel cables.

I think it is the best, but it is expensive
4/5

I like how light it is, it does what it is supposed to do, but it is quite pricey, plus you have to buy the extension piece which is over-priced. As far as I'm concerned, it's the best because of its different angles and its light weight. I would have given it a 5 star rating if it were not for the price and the addition of the.

This software does its job however, it is a bit "off"
3/5

The 12 I got this attachment for is a tow bar. Due to my truck's bed being only five feet long, I can only fit a five-foot kayak. The length of the ship is five feet. I was a little disappointed with the fit, but it does provide some peace of mind when hauling my kayak. Furthermore, mine has a very noticeable slant in the extended configuration, so that if I hauled a kayak on the left side of the bed, it would not make contact with any of the extension bars. It does make contact with the right side. Had I wanted a more permanent carrier, I probably would have mounted a ladder rack style carrier on the bed rails stake pockets. I like it for my needs, but it doesn't meet my expectations.

We use it for our kayaks because it is light, secure, and fast
5/5

A Honda Ridgeline can be hooked up to this trailer, which holds our 11-foot trailer. A height of 5 ft and a width of 9 ft. This kayak fits perfectly in a 5 foot kayak. A very fast and effective method of loading, securing, and unloading. Roof rack drivers always stare over at us in awe as we jump into and out of the water much faster than they do 1) it's very light weight, and it's hung on the garage wall with hooks from Lowe's.

An extension for beds that are 5' long would be a great addition
5/5

The Long Arm is used to carry 11 kilograms and more With a 2019 Ranger kayak bed of 5 feet, this kayak is 16 feet long. Although the 42" long arm helps, additional extension (28+") is needed to hold kayaks that are longer than the arm. Long trips are more stable with it. It is a very solid design. Although it adds more length, it feels tight and secure It's not easy. One of the most unique features is the ability to adjust the When I use truck bed rail racks, I can either leave it on top of the bed or move it to the top of the bed. It isn't cheap, but it is very well made and I feel comfortable using it on long trips of over 10 hours.
