A 10 has been given. This is working for a 2' and I think it would work just as well on a 12'.
There will be room for it, but it will definitely extend three or four feet past the rear of the car. Although it shouldn't be too big of a deal, you need to be aware of it. Although the front stop bar was moved as far forward as possible, it still hung off the back of my 16 ft canoe by about 6 ft. In order to use it instead of the 5 or 6 ft tongue that comes with the kit, I bought a 10 ft piece of steel tube. So my 16 ft canoe did not hang over 6 feet on the back, I was able to adjust it. Are you also noticing that the two boards are carpeted? The panels are flat and straight, so they don't conform well to the curve of the hull. It is just the angle of the hull that is being touched. This is no big deal, but if the canoe sits in the hot sun all day, the weight of its weight pushes its hull up so that the flat boards conform to the floor of the hull. If I make modifications to that, I may do so. You'll also note there's no roller in front to rest the bow In order to support the front of the canoe I needed to build a bracket and buy a roller. A nice little trailer that does what it says on the tin. I didn't have much trouble putting it The shipper did a lousy job some of the paint had been knocked off of the trailer frame because the box the trailer was in was torn in places. Stupid mistake, sprayed paint on it and it looks good. It must be covered by the warranty. One thing I want to clarify is that I bought this trailer based on the ratings on here that said that it could carry a 12 ft jon boat, but I kept looking at the measurements and thinking that I was too narrow to fit it. Having the boat hang off the trailer for 2 feet doesn't even come close. The trailer is at least three feet short leaving 2 feet of boat hanging off the back. You should not buy this trailer if you plan to put a 10 ft boat on it, it doesn't have enough space to fit your boat.

I intend to use this for my intended purpose. As if they were made for each other, this trailer keeps my 13 foot fishing kayak (Old Town Predator XL) completely secure. In your question and answer section, many people suggested going overboard however, this will hold a 13 foot boat just fine. There are some parts that are not visible in the location you would expect them to be. Originally, I thought some brackets were missing, but they were included in a box with the tail lamps. It was no problem for the factory to send the "missing" parts.
