and foremost, I simply have to say the products are excellent quality and do the job as It took some time to install them and takes a few minutes to remove them. have used this for hauling SUPs and kayaks on my SUV and it worked as it should. As a result, I put them back because I found lifetime, which makes paddleboards and kayaks, which I currently own. I've been using a foam slip on and strap set for under $30 that have been able to attach I can use it for my purpose, and it's far more economical than other options.
The board mount was easy to install and strap to my Grand Cherokee (I have a 10'6" paddleboard). Nothing to complain about the rack or straps - they worked just fine In fact, I had no issues with slipping while driving about 600 miles south on my paddleboard.
The first two weeks have been good so far Two paddleboards were used for a 600 mile trip from North Carolina to Ohio At speeds of 80mph, there are no problems.
As I have come to expect from Thule, a superb product. As a result of a couple of trips, I discovered that shifting the tape to the middle of the carrier greatly reduces the noise. Fitting two 36" boards with no problems was no problem for me.
The thing I love the most! The carrier does exactly what it's supposed to do, it's easy to put on and take off, and unlike soft top carriers, you don't have to pull harder and harder to get the board to fit.
I appreciate how easy it is to install, and how safe it keeps my paddleboard when double-locked. As well as looking good, they are also practical.
My wife's 2017 Tahoe came with OEM cross rails so we installed the Board Shuttle on it. I was thrilled with how the Thule Board Shuttle fit and worked.
