My excitement at receiving this set-up for picking up my new kayak was dampened by finding when opening the box that the saddle clamps will not fit if your cross bar is larger than 1. 5". My cross bars are 2", however, and this is not indicated anywhere in the description. It was too late to order a replacement so I had to make a run to Cabela's for another set of J-hooks There are bars. This is being returned.

As part of the shipping process, some pins were pulled from the joints holding the parts together. You may end up hitting the pavement with your kayak. The return process is something I hate, so I avoid it at all costs. In addition to replacing the loose pins with bolts, I will also replace the loose screws. As long as I make it safe to use, I can make it. There is more Chinese junk here.

This has been installed on 4 of my vans using a double kayak rack that I created. There are problems with the plastic nut spinners, they break, or fall off, and they are lost. I do not have a major problem with this since my kayaks are adjusted to fit my body. The last time I took a road trip with these, I covered 7000 miles. In place of the straps that are included, I did use rachet straps to secure my kayaks on these saddles.

I can hold my kayak fairly well with these. I have to deal with one of the saddles having a pin that comes out pretty easily, so I have to put it back in every time I ride. Moreover, there's no real way to lock these kayaks, so if you take them anywhere bad people hang out, which is pretty much everywhere these days, you are risking your kayak.

There is a difference between the pictured and actual product. They will be used to customize a trailer that I'm making to haul I have been pleased with how they have worked so far. I thought it would be better. For my trailer, I was able to use the hardware provided, but I don't think the brackets would fit my roof rack (they My only concern with them is durability seeing that they are essentially all plastic, they are not very durable. I wish to point out that they are not the ones in the picture that are wielding Plastic is used in all of these.

I found the product to be easy to use. A plastic saddle strap broke on the saddle in a My current solution has to be replaced with a new one. Fortunately, I had a garage in which I kept my trailer and Kayaks, so the sun did not bother us.

I have found dealing with this company to be very easy. When I ordered the saddles, I measured them wrong and they didn't fit on my roof racks. In the end, I was able to modify it to make it fit and was able to avoid returning it. A discount was provided by the company, and I was very happy with it. The saddles are great, by the way.
