It has a silky feel to it. It's not a roll of tape made of paper.
Yes, tape can be used in the shower. I use it on a daily basis and have yet to encounter any issues.
On the product, there is no mention of an expiration date.
Although I have not specifically tested this tape under those conditions, I have found its adhesive quality to be excellent, possibly even comparable to duct tape. If any tape would serve your purpose, I believe it would be this one.

It was causing rashes and scabbing at their treatment center. We decided to give the silk-like tape a try, and I'm glad we did! The rashes and scabs have disappeared, and it adheres well (though you will need to use a little more than regular tape). And the tape has a pleasant feel to it! I would recommend it to anyone who is allergic to the adhesive on regular medical tape!! Also, I've purchased several times and each time the package arrives quickly and without issue! Thank you for doing this, which is particularly important for medical supplies.
It easily peels off the roll and starts up every time; it's a good adhesive tape that keeps the non-stick surfaces in place. Stick the pads or bandages you're using on firmly. I would buy it again.
I'm using this tape to keep my hammer toe from getting abrasions from things like ski and hiking boots. For years, it has caused me excruciating pain, but when a doctor showed me how to pull the toe down and out of the way, the problem was solved. The ease with which it is accomplished astounds and delights me. I was given a roll of surgical tape by the doctor, which was extremely helpful. This tape seems to stick better, which I assume is a good thing, but pulling it off hurts a little. However, the end result is worthwhile.
This tape can be used for a variety of applications. In my opinion, the price of this box is very reasonable, especially considering how most drug stores stare at me as if to say, "What is that?" " or "you must visit a medical supply store," and so on. This is an excellent adhesive; I've used it to do low voltage wiring, protect a hangnail, and so on. Nylon is the material used. I'm not sure what's in the adhesive, but it doesn't bother me too much, and I'm latex allergic.
When changing the bandages on my heals, my daughter uses this tape. I have bed sores on my heels as a result of my stay in the hospital. I was in a coma, and it appears that the nurses did nothing to protect my bony prominences while I was unconscious. This tape is also used by her to protect and bandage my dialysis port. clean. It is gentle on my skin and helps to keep the bandages in place. As a result, I strongly advise anyone who needs to change bandages to use this tape.
I went with 3M because it's what hospitals use. I've wrapped my thumb with hospital tape several times, and the glue has never stayed on the skin when I removed it. I tried out a few of the roles, and they're all the same. I checked the box to see if it had an expiration date, which it did, but it was not. BTW- In addition, the tape is filthy. I should've gone back as soon as possible. I will not purchase this product again.
Any type of cloth tape irritates her skin and has the potential to tear it. Paper tape will suffice, but only just, because it is prone to loosening or simply falling off. The 3M Durapore is used by her doctor's office and is very effective. It adheres well to her skin while remaining gentle. The small price difference between this tape and paper tape is well worth it.
Although not of the same high quality as what I'm used to from 3M, it's still far superior to what you'll find elsewhere. It appears to be resistant to most surfaces, so I continue to give it higher ratings. The price varies from day to day, so be sure to go on a day when it isn't too expensive. This product has met my expectations.
