My husband is a T1 diabetic who needs to change his pump on a daily basis, so I bought this for him. In his line of work, he requires additional support around the pump to ensure it does not rip off in the event of a tussle or other mishap, so he wraps the pump in tape. This tape was only good for a few hours. It didn't rip his skin like the majority of them, but it didn't last long. He usually wears his pump around his midsection. The tape would pull away from him when he stretched too far. I'm sure it's excellent for other purposes, but it's not the right fit for him.
It adheres well and does not move; it is simple to remove and causes no discomfort. This tape won't budge for a couple of my teary customers.
I wouldn't recommend using it to prevent a port dressing from forming unless it's absolutely necessary in the last two days. It can wrinkle in the armpit area when you move your arm, but it works anywhere else. That is just a problem spot for me. br>I order on a regular basis and always have some on hand, which is essential for someone who is allergic to all other types of medical tape and adhesives. I use it in conjunction with IV3000, which has no border, and I'm not allergic to either, so not being itchy all the time is AMAZING. I use my port for IV fluids for POTS. br>Easy to take out and painless!.
I've previously used nexcare tapes and found them to be excellent. HOWEVER, after using this tape for a day, I became allergic to it and itchy all over my body. The only positive aspect is that it adheres TOO WELL. It's as tenacious as duct tape! It takes a lot of effort to remove it. It's worse than wax; it's as if you're being skinned alive. Furthermore, because it adheres so well, it leaves a lot of sticky residue that is impossible to remove with soap and a sponge. To dissolve it, I had to go over my already raw skin three times with alcohol wipes. br>br>Using and removing it was a complete nightmare. It would be preferable if it was not applied to the body.
This tape has a special place in my heart. Before applying lash extensions, it's ideal to isolate your lashes.
Medical tape makes my skin very sensitive. This is what I bought, and it comes off very easily, despite being a little less painful to remove. I used gauze pads on my inner thighs and abdomen, as well as four pieces of tape on each side, and they all came off, despite the fact that they were held tight with slight compression. There is a lack of adhesion. I also used up a roll of tape quickly because there isn't much on a roll.
Because she likes to sleep on her sides, her right ear is a little out of shape, so I use it to stick it in her ear. It performs admirably and is simple to remove. It appeals to me.
Sweat will loosen it, but only if you sweat a lot. Excellent for use in sensitive areas where gauze is required.
