This vest is absolutely fantastic! However, please do not put this on your daughter without some kind of shorts (I use bike shorts) because the strap that goes between the legs cuts her all the time. The strap moves back and forth and causes cuts, which is quite painful. When I realized what had happened, I began dressing her in long shorts to cover her skin.
Yes, the waist straps have two buttons and two buckles; however, once you've unbuttoned everything, you can take the waist straps off.
Yes, it will give your baby the confidence he or she needs to learn to swim or simply float.
My little girl is three years old. 5 years old with a weight of 33 pounds. In this, she floats around on the lake. Life jackets are made to do exactly that. You don't get sucked into them.

First and foremost, it did not fit properly on my soon-to-be 3-year-old. But when she tipped over and fell face first into the water, it didn't correct her! This is the second life jacket I've ordered that hasn't worked, so tread carefully when putting your child's life in the hands of a device.
PLEASE AVOID FOR LITTLE ONES AS IT IS VERY DANGEROUS. br>br>At 21 months old, my daughter weighs 24 pounds. Even when the crotch strap was tightened all the way, it hung loose between the legs. That meant the jacket had to go up past my daughter's ears as soon as she stepped into the water. I couldn't take my eyes off my daughter for even a second because she'd fall forward into the water and drown! br>While it is possible that this life jacket will fit and function perfectly in a few years, it is currently too dangerous to use.
It's perfect for her because she's a water baby and weighs 32 pounds! Thank you for doing such an excellent job designing this vest!.
I bought it for my 20-month-old son, who weighs 25 pounds, and the description stated that 1- 9 years old and 22 years old 50 pound weight limit The vest and tag were in a different language when it arrived, but I was able to read where it said 30-minutes. The outside packaging stated 22 pounds, but the inside packaging stated 50 pounds. 50 pound weight limit My son will be unable to wear it because it is far too large. I'm returning it without hesitation.
The padded strap that runs between the legs is one of our favorite features. This is the perfect size for my two-year-old, who weighs 27 pounds and stands 33 inches tall.
I'm glad it didn't break in an emergency, because I would have had to pull her out of the water. In June of 2020, I purchased this life jacket for my 2 year old daughter, who weighed 23 pounds at the time. I put it off until the 2021 season because it was too big. It broke after the third time wearing, as previously stated. As a safety precaution, the strap was used to hold onto my toddler as he got on and off the boat and onto the docks. I'll be on the lookout for a more secure lifejacket, as they're supposed to be well-made and tested to keep people safe in and around water.
We took my three-year-old to Hawaii and wanted to make sure she was comfortable in the water. She wowed me by swimming around in her life jacket on her own. I prefer these to the small arm jackets because they allow her to move freely and practice swimming techniques.
I've never been able to find a jacket that fit my 52-pound frame. This is the only one I've found with a crotch strap (to keep it from riding up around the neck) and it's perfect! I definitely recommend it for thinner kids who aren't quite youth size yet.
