Hi Gavin! Kpaloa Triton Rescue has a slightly more flexible blade than Kpaloa Storm, aside from its color.
Selected User Reviews For Kpaloa Swim fins Triton Storm Bodysurf Bodyboarding
These are my personal favorites. After the open blisters caused by my Churchills, comfort became the top priority. I went through three pairs of DMC repellors, which are softer and more comfortable than dafin repellors but do not float. Switching to kpaloa Triton's, the footbed is super soft, but the rigid spines provide a ton of thrust, and they drain and float well. br> I'm a size 11 in shoes. I don't wear finsocks, so a size 12 shoe and a size large fin fit perfectly.
It was a perfect match. I'm a size 11 and ordered the XL. I bought it for bodysurfing, but it's also great for snorkeling. It's quite adaptable and cozy. It comes in a variety of color combinations and comes with a mesh drawstring bag, but don't expect to fit anything else in the bag because it's only big enough for the fins. br>It appears to have some clever design features, but I'm not sure if they make a significant difference when you're dropping in on a wave; I believe the main purpose is to assist you in catching the wave, which it does. br>I already own a pair of Dafins but prefer these.
Because my true size is a 10, I had a hard time deciding which size to get. I went with the xl and am pleased with the fit, which is perfect with dakin fin tethers added as these increase the length of my foot by 1/2 size. Like all fins that claim to float, they don't float well enough, and you'd have to get really lucky to find your fin in conditions that would cause you to lose in the first place. Kick that is both comfortable and powerful.
Outstanding product.
The product is excellent! It's comfortable and inviting.
Excellent fin for bodysurfing.
For years, all I've worn are Churchill Makapu's. I've got the scars to prove it. The comfort level of these Tritons is noticeably higher. I wore them for three days straight and didn't get any blisters. They don't have the same burst as the Makapus, but the difference is minor. However, what you gain from paddling and cross-country skiing isn't always worth it. These are clearly superior to the Makaupus in terms of break propulsion and overall comfort. I don't DK very often, so I can't comment on how good they are for DK riders, but they should be fine, and when dragged, they provide excellent rudder control. We'll have to wait and see how long they'll last.
