Questions & Answers

What sets this apart from the paddle pals motion hologram vest worn by the body glove?

The motion hologram has a hologram decal/design on the front, but everything else is the same exact product.

Is there a need for a Prop 65 warning for this item?

I was under the impression that everything had a Prop 65 warning on it.

Is it possible to use this on the water?

No, this isn't a life preserver; it's a swim aid. In the event of an accident, you'll need a life preserver to keep your child afloat. There are plenty of great toddler life prevents to choose from; just keep this one for swimming pools.

Even for small children, this is a must-try
5/5

This floatie is really cool. My daughter is only 15 months old and weighs only 20 pounds, so she technically does not meet the criteria for this, but it was the best we could do. She's small, but she enjoys swimming, so I needed something to keep her safe while she was swimming. br>It's clearly too big for her, but it still works. br>At first, she didn't like it because it limited her arm's range of motion, but she grew to like it. br>She is brave and will jump into a pool without hesitation, but wearing this makes me feel more at ease around water with her because it keeps her afloat until I arrive. br>It took her a while to figure out that she needed to keep her legs/feet behind her in order to float on her stomach; otherwise, she would flip over to her back. But she grew accustomed to it quickly. br>She now enjoys wearing it and going for solo swims.

Cute as well as secure! This is a fantastic life jacket! Keeps my 21-month-old 26-pound toddler's head above water and allows him to float in the water- not shaky at all We tried a couple of less expensive brands, but her head dipped forward too easily, exposing her to pool water
5/5

That did not sit well with me. Unless she is attempting to dip her head below the water, she can swim safely with her head above water in this little jacket. It has a strong sense of security. I also like the top/shoulder straps/tank top thing because it helps to keep the jacket in place by preventing it from sliding off. I also like how light the blues are on this. I bought it for my firstborn daughter, and I like that it can be used for either a boy or a girl. In the case of the blue dolphin, I'm referring to that one. I'm not a fan of the ones with the bright red hot pink odd design character. This one is adorable while still being entertaining for the kids, and it is completely safe WITH SUPERVISION AT ALL TIMES, just in case. The Coast Guard of the United States has given their approval.

The best product for swimmers who are still learning to swim
5/5

I have a 13-month-old son who weighs 25 pounds and is quite large for his age. Although it did not work as well for me as it did for some of the other reviewers, I gave it five stars because it was the best of the three products I purchased to try. The shoulder straps were a tad too long. However, it is recommended for people who weigh more than 30 pounds, so I can't complain. My son was able to float on his stomach in the water while keeping his head up without assistance after some practice. He has no swimming skills, so I'm sure he could stay upright and do even better if he knew how to kick his feet and do other things. It made him more confident in the water, and it made me feel better because I could give him a little more independence without having to worry about his head staying up all the time. We went to the water park in this and he kept his head up the entire time, even when he got a splash from going down a slide or something that would normally send him under. Would recommend for a baby his age, but would definitely work better for an older kid or toddler.

Tilts him forward and down on his back
3/5

After reading the reviews, I decided that this was the best option for our 21-month-old son. He weighs around 28 pounds, so it's possible that it's because he's not quite big enough, but this tends to tilt him forward, which helps him float, but it defeats the purpose of tilting him face down. We'll keep it in the back of our minds for when he's a little bigger. Is it possible that this is the issue? We got the crab one, and it's adorable! It has a lot of sturdiness to it. We can't seem to make it work.

They're a fantastic product, and the kids adore them
5/5

We bought a few of these for our two -year-old son. Grandsons of 5 years old. The children are able to maintain their head above water. Without assistance, navigate the pool. The kids have a blast swimming around, and the parents don't have to hold their children constantly. I looked into it. The US Coast Guard has approved them as the only floatation device in this category. They are extremely comfortable to wear. The boys are unconcerned about wearing them. These are something I would strongly suggest.

For summer fun, this is a fantastic purchase
5/5

My four-year-old son desired to be more self-sufficient in the pool. I purchased it in the hopes of allowing him to be himself. This is a fantastic method. He needed a few minutes to find his balance, but once he did, he was hooked. He can even jump off the pool's edge because it instantly returns him to his feet. Also, when using this product, no one is ever more than an arms reach away; my son is 4 years old and weighs about 46 pounds, and it fits him perfectly.

YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED IF YOU PURCHASE THESE
5/5

These floaties are absolutely fantastic. I wasn't sure what I thought of them, and I wasn't sure how my son would react to them. When we first put them on him today, they fit perfectly and I didn't even have to adjust the back strap. The arm floats were a little large, but only by a small amount, so they weren't too tight and he had some room to grow. He didn't mind wearing them, and after only 5 minutes in the water, he was swimming and twirling around on his own (as in, a few feet away from me). He was jumping off rafts into the water on his own in 15 minutes, laughing and having a great time, and he wasn't scared at all. He wouldn't even go in the pool without being held by me, and only me, last summer. As a result, I was concerned about how he would handle these situations. They were flawless, and he felt safe and secure as a result. They reassured me as well. br>br>It's only been a day, so I'm not sure how long they'll last, but if and when they do, I'll be getting this product again, and I'll be using it when my 6-month-old is ready for them. I rarely leave reviews, but I felt compelled to do so for this product because I couldn't believe how quickly my son warmed up to the pool while wearing these; he felt completely secure. It was a good investment. If I could, I'd give this ten stars. My son is 2 1/2 years old and weighs about 35 pounds; they fit him perfectly, and he still had room in his arm floats, as I previously stated.

Awesome! My two-year-old, who is extremely skinny, could easily pull
5/5

Awesome! My skinny 2-year-old could pull down regular puddle jumpers and get out of them, but the shoulder straps prevent him from doing so with this one. a lot more secure.
