I had a french drain connected to my gutter downspouts installed several years ago, and I recently discovered water ponding near the point where the downspout drainpipe connected to the french drain. br>br>After excavating to expose the joint, I was surprised to discover that the contractors had neglected to connect the drain pipes! I cleaned the corrugated pipes and wrapped the connection in Agridrain tape, stretching it out to completely cover the corrugations. The tape stretches similarly to electrical tape, so it does exactly what I need it to do. br>br>The Agridrain Amazing tape has exceeded my expectations.
I recently installed corrugated drain pipe around the side of the house to divert water away from the foundation, but several joints along the length of the pipe were leaking profusely. Of course, corrugated drain pipe (non-standard) was not on my radar. perforated) to be completely watertight at the connections, but adequate for the job. After doing some research into what other people were using, I kept seeing this PVC tape recommended by drainage line installation companies. This stuff is incredible - Simple as that. It perfectly wraps around the pipe, the tightness of the tape on the roll allows it to conform to the pipe and corrugated ridges with little effort, and it's watertight. I installed it in rainy/muddy conditions and temperatures in the 35F range, and it stuck perfectly and sealed the joints. Last night, there was a lot of rain, so I checked the joints and they were completely dry. This is a fantastic product for these drain tiles, as it will keep roots out of the drain pipe as well.
My furnace began to leak air from its panel seams, so I wrapped it in this magic tape and extended the life of my furnace for another 18 months before replacing it. I put in a pop-up blocker that was buried. I used this tape to wrap all of the downspout joint seams that I buried underground after putting up downspouts around the perimeter of my house. I also used it to strengthen the seal around the duct venting for my clothes dryer. This tape does not require any adhesive, unlike traditional duct tape, and as a result, it has truly magical sealing properties. Almost everything is sealed with it. If I had to choose between traditional tape (also known as duct or electrical tape) and this Amazing tape, I'd go with the latter by a long shot.
It's better and less expensive than what you'll find at big-box stores. This information is extremely beneficial. I used it to connect drainage pipes, and it was a lot less expensive than buying the parts separately. It also completes the task more quickly and is watertight. I've also used it for a few other jobs, and it's helped me save a lot of money! Thank you to whoever came up with this and made it affordable!.
I've used similar tape from a big box store before, and while it's good, this tape is truly exceptional. I needed to wrap an existing corrugated drain pipe, and the tape was in contact with dirt and mud, and the pipe was wet, but it stuck. I'm a believer, and once this one runs out, I'm going to buy another just to have around the house.
The drain pipe from the secondary sink to the main kitchen drain kept leaking in my dual kitchen sink. Because of the way it was installed, the pvc pipe coming from the second sink appears to put undue strain on the slip coupling, causing it to leak. Any leaks are completely stopped by wrapping pvc tape around and around the coupling. It's been about a week, and the tape appears to be holding up well. I haven't noticed any degradation in the tape, and the coupling hasn't leaked.
It's all good. Although it appears to stretch a little more than it should, it performs admirably. It's a mess! I'm going to buy more.
To save money on a fremch drain project, I used this tape to connect 10 foot sections and as end caps (see photos). br>br>The tape served its purpose well, and the drain has performed admirably thus far. It's well-made and a good deal for the size of the roll. Although it wasn't quite as much as a standard roll of duct tape, one roll was more than enough to cover 50 feet of drain.
