Does the blade's metal make its way into the handle?

Yes! It's a full tang blade, meaning it extends all the way to the handle's bottom.

Where did you come from?

Bradley, I can't find any markings on the knife that would identify the country of origin, and the packaging is gone. I even looked on the company's website but couldn't find any information about where it's made. Despite the fact that the company is based in New York, many people simply import these from China. I've found that if a product is made in the United States, the company typically advertises it and includes markings on the product to emphasize that fact; however, my suspicion is that it is not made in the United States. br> As for the knife, it's a good one. I paid less than half of what it's listed here, and even at that discounted price, I wouldn't buy another.br> (see my review)br> For the price they're asking for this knife, I'd recommend the Gerber Prodigy instead. I have one (along with its bigger brother, the LMF, which costs $20 more) and it's a great knife from a "name brand" that's tough as nails and hard to beat at this price point. Visit Amazon to purchase them. The only thing that this "Stat- The "idea" of the Fire starter in the sheath is what sets the Gear knife apart from the Gerber Prodigy. On the other hand, it's done so badly on the Stat- The equipment appears to be of no use. br> At the end of the day, it (the Stat- Gear) isn't as good as it claims to be, and for the same price, better knives are available.

Is it a product of the United States of America?

I'm not going to say I'm not going to say I'm not going to say I'm not going to say I The knife's quality and durability, however, are comparable.

Selected User Reviews For StatGear Surviv-All Fixed-Blade Bowie Knife with Sheath, Firestarter, Sharpener & Cord Cutter for Hunting Camping Outdoors Hiking EDC

Like everything about this knife except the steel used, it's almost there but not quite there
4/5

This knife was purchased to accompany me on a section hike of the Appalachian Trail in 2019. It has a strong hold on the user. It has a nice sheath. Good sparks are produced by the fire starter. A built-in line cutter and sharpener are included. So why don't you just give it five stars and call it a day? Because this knife is made of 440 stainless steel. "A" is most likely. This is a soft steel that is easy to sharpen but does not hold an edge for very long. However, at this price, it's a good deal. is a good investment. That's all it is for a survival blade. They do exist. Steels that are better. Having said that, it's a very nice little rig. With a D2 steel knife, I've decided to take a different path. a Swiss fire-starting rod, and a swiss fire-starting rod.

A great knife with a cord cutter, ferro rod, sheath, and sharpener
5/5

This knife offers a lot of value for the money. It reminds me of the Prodigy in some ways. Regardless, this is a fantastic budget knife to add to your collection. I have expensive knives, but I'm finding that there are a lot of great knives out there that aren't as expensive, so I decided to remove the paracord with clip on the sheath and engineer my hack for that.

In the same vein as the GB Ultimate Pro
5/5

We were both surprised and pleased. Given the low cost, it's worth a shot. I took a few things out of the sheath, which, by the way, has a small hole for water to escape. The Statgear blade is shaped differently, but it is the same length and width as the Gerber, and it feels similar in my hand. Sure, there are differences, including the price, but I value a good knife that I can beat up and abuse without worrying about ruining a $300 knife. I'm excited to take this new one out on my next trip out.

This knife is fantastic! First and foremost, these are my initial impressions of the knife; I have not yet used it; if I do and it breaks, I will update this review; otherwise, I believe the following
5/5

br>The knife feels very solid, has a good weight, the blade is solid, a little wider than I expected but not by much, comes relatively sharp, and the handle is relatively ergonomic to hold. The rubber feels durable, a little soft and tacky so you get a really good grip even when wet. br>It's well balanced and thick enough that I can pinch it just where the blade meets the handle and use it as a small chopper; it also has a good overall length for cutting vegetables and probably gutting a fish. br>Now the sheath is, once again, very well constructed, feels very durable, and the nylon belt loop is nice and thick, indicating excellent quality. The fire starter works; it's mounted upside down on the sheath's face, but it's secure in place; pulling it out requires some effort, so I don't expect it to fall out. I can't say how long it has been since I've been in and out. br>br>My only gripe is with the sheath; it would have been nice if it had spaces on the side to attach it to a backpack strap so you could wear it on your chest, but the nylon belt loop is screwed into the back of the sheath, so I'll have to make do. Also, the sharpening stone on the back is a little coarse for my tastes; I'd prefer something a little finer to simply restore an edge. br>br>However, for the price, I believe it is a fantastic little knife.

For the features and price, this knife is fantastic! So far, I'm a huge fan of this knife
4/5

It's essentially a low-cost knockoff of the Gerber model. The knife is well-made, and if the steel is of good quality, it should keep its edge well. It has a comfortable grip and a good handle. It comes with a good sheath that holds it securely and houses a fire starter rod, built-in cord cutter, and a sharpening stone on the back. It has a cord wrapped snap buckle that keeps the handle tight to the sheath and secures it into the molded sheath. Because the sharpening stone is exposed on the back and may rub against pants or other mounting areas, this snap buckle takes a little longer to deploy. Overall, this is a fantastic knife for the money. I'm looking forward to all of the adventures it has in store for me.

Way above and beyond my expectations
5/5

Way above and beyond my expectations! The knife has a wide blade with a thick spine, the balance is near perfect, and the grip is dead on in the hand; the glow in the dark strips are mainly for show and are not bright enough; the edge is sharp but not razor sharp; the sheath is incredible; the fire starter is insanely secure if you put it back properly; the paracord clip is mainly for show and the buckle is too small for quick deployment, but it's removable; the sharpener is on the underside, which I have a S of Ka Bars, and a S of Ka Bars. W Bowie, Bowie knives, combat knives, survival knives, but this has quickly replaced my Ka Bar as my go-to blade. This is a must-have for any Bail Out Bag or camping trip! Also, part of the spine is uncoated so you can use it as a fire starter; I've never seen another combo knife with a fire starter do that. Stat Gear has a knack for creating useful items. It would be great if it was available in black.

Comfortable grip, excellent blade shape, soft but re-usable steel that can be touched and used; For $35, he will complete the task
4/5

I put the knife to the test in the field, cutting, gutting, carving, and chopping everything from softwood to hardwood, and it has held up well so far. The steel is softer, so if you chop hard woods or drop the knife on a rock, the edge will roll, but it will not chip, making the knife extremely tough. Once the edge has been rolled or the blade has become dull, the included diamond plate can be used to sharpen it quickly. You can get a shaving edge on it in minutes, which is a benefit over harder steel knives. The pummel was squished to the side when it hit slay rock, but it's still functional. The fire steel started a fire for me in seconds with brush, dried grass, and whatever else I could find in the forest around me, proving that it is indeed effective. In comparison, I would consider this knife to be a less expensive version of Bear Grylls Ultimate Pro, which costs $30 less but is still indestructible. This is the knife for you if you want a good cheap knife to take to camp or hunting that comes with a nice sheath, sharpener, and fire steel all in one package. It's not perfect, but it gets the job done for $35, which is less than a regular restaurant meal for two people.
