This product is well designed with super sharp blades, but the saw leaves much A kit has been purchased to prepare for the whitetail season this year
4/5

As far as the knife itself goes, it is handsome, looks well designed, and is very sturdy. I think the blades installing and locking in is a huge advantage over similar knives. I think that it's this feature that sets this knife apart from similar knives. After I field dressed three deer without needing to replace the blade, I continued to field dress for a few more. It is very easy to hold the edge. The gut hook is also extremely sharp Due to problems with the gut blade in my unit, it was unable to lock in securely This blade could not be locked into place due to a lack of spring in the steel. A replacement knife was sent to me within a week after I contacted Outdoor Edge and sent a picture of the defective knife. I enjoyed the fast and friendly service and was pleased with the quality of the replacement gut hook. You should not bother with the saw if you intend to do major bone work with it. You only need the knife, and you do not need a The saw is flimsy and doesn't feel good in the hand. It cuts through the breast bone without issue, but even the pelvis is difficult to cut with it. There are better products to get the job done when you eventually get it, but getting the job done won't be easy. Despite having both a knife and saw in it, as well as spare blades, the sheath is well made and works well. I like that it is quite compact even with both items stowed in it. In my opinion, the only way it could be improved is if it was made All in all, it is a 4 out of 5 star rating. The knife would also be rated as a 5 out of 5 if this were for knives only. It's true I had an issue with the first one, but it happens, and I received prompt and friendly service from the manufacturer. It only gets one star for the bone saw. But if you come to it with the knowledge that it can only cut small bones, then you will be fine. I wish you a happy hunting season!.

You will only have to buy this hunting knife set once in your life
5/5

Among my friends and family here in Alaska, I am fortunate to have a close group of people with whom I share product information. My son first introduced this knife set to me - Four years ago, we were hunting with six people and the law was in effect. The Yukon moose was skinned and quartered with this knife first before we had compared it with other knives with replaceable blades and the old school knives of the older generations. A flawless performance was achieved by the blade. Because of our own human error (tip detaching and changing the blade by accident), we had problems with the other replaceable razor blade knife blades. This outdoor knife from Outdoor Edge, which has both a double blade and a skinning blade, was great for not only taking down this bull moose, but also three more. The most beautiful thing I have ever seen There were no breaks in his blade after his four total moose hunts. During this trip in 2015, we all earned a knife to bring home and use along with the bone saw as an added bonus. The setup in here makes me believe that we won't be getting a new knife anytime soon, since its the best I've seen, bar none. In addition, the gut/skinning blade has also never failed to perform. We didn't have a single accident during the skinning process.

Big game is great with this! If you hunt big game, this is a must have
5/5

It was purchased just two days before my last deer hunt and I am glad I got it. By using dual blades, I was able to clean the game so easily and cleanly. My favorite feature is the ability to change blades when they are dulled to a new one that is scalpel-sharp. Skinning the animal made the cleaning process much easier by removing the worry about cutting into things that didn't need to be cut. What I mean is obvious to anyone who hunts. With two blades built into one knife, it is great to reduce the amount of extra gear that is needed to go With just hot water and dish soap, you can wash the dishes in no time. Remove the blade from the knife and let it air dry before storing it to avoid trapping moisture in the hold. A great product 100% of the time.

Prepared for the field by dressing, skinning, and quartering
5/5

As many of you looking at this set know, I have had plenty of knives over the years, and I find the convenience of this set to be quite good. In my field dressing, skinning, and quartering of a deer, I did not switch In any case, that was all it ever did. should note the blade was still sharp, but there were a few nicks in it from hitting some bones, but that's why they make it so the blades can be swapped out. I find that the saw works just as well as any others I've had when it comes to the sternum, but I like that you can stuff it in the same pouch as the rest of the gear. Even used it on leg bones, but that was a lot of work and I should have brought a separate (LARGER) saw for that purpose. With this knife, I think it's about the size of a deer's blade, excluding processing. I am ordering more blades since it is about a deer's blade in length. I love this thing so much.

Adding sharpness to the experience is addictive
5/5

This is a very nice knife. My friend found out about my knife out on a fishing trip, and he is already envious of mine! That's right, we're going fishing! Though it had not performed as well in all applications as a fixed blade (due to ease of cleaning), it has been highly effective nonetheless. Despite spending a prolonged period of time submerged (full submersion) in the frigid waters of the Atlantic, a quick rinse and the occasional spritz of Balistol have kept the item rust-free. There are no limits to what this thing can cut through boar flesh, fur, crab legs, fishing mono, braid, baitfish, etc. This blade can handle just about anything that you throw at it! I love my para 3 for daily carry but don't want to use it for gross stuff.

Don't get me wrong, I love it for daily carry.

Sharp like a razor blade, but durable like a fixed knife
5/5

This is awesome! I love What a great idea! This was originally intended for my survival bag, but it has now become a constant companion. There are a total of 6 3 in it. In addition to the blades of 5 inches, I ordered 6 inch blades For use in the field, use blades 5 inches in diameter. A very nice and handy addition is that the guy hook and compact saw come with it. Blades on the knife are razor sharp like those on a fixed blade. The razor literally shaves all the hair off of your arms with little effort out of the box. I bought a sharpener just for it by the same company as the blades can be sharpened a few times, but they last a long time before being A good field knife is hard to come by. . . and this one is quite good.
