A knife with this long blade can do both the gutting and butchering of the animal when in the field. As a rule of thumb, I only buy Outdoor Edge blades because they are more durable than Havalon.

The knife is great

I've used my old standby for many years and thought this would be a good replacement. Very impressed with what I saw. It was used to skin and butcher animals. It took quite some time for the blade to dissolve.
