Questions & Answers

Is there a full tang to this knife?

Yes.

In California, is this regarded as a dagger?

In California, this is referred to as a dirk or dagger. It is, however, perfectly legal to carry as long as it is sheathed on your belt; if it is not sheathed on your belt, it is openly carried. All of this is except for Los Angeles County, where you are not allowed to carry a blade longer than 3" and, of course, you are not allowed to carry it in government buildings, schools, hospitals, or other public places in any county. The relevant California penal code is 21310, and the applicable Los Angeles ordinances are 13 and 14. 010 -

Is the wrench of a particular size? I'm not sure where I'd be able to get a replacement. Thanks?

An Allen Hex Wrench 7/64 is required for the majority of KBARs. It's a common size that can be found in most home improvement stores, tool stores, music stores, and, of course, Amazon. The majority of the time, this is a low-cost device. I hope you find this information useful.

Is this illegal in California because it is only used as a defense tool?

Every day at work, I use mine. It is, by definition, a tool. A knife can be used for a variety of things, not just self-defense! Even a novice lawyer would never be able to defend it in court!

This knife is my favorite, and it's a great knife
5/5

I'm a state trooper who spends a lot of time working alone. I need to be able to handle myself until my backup arrives, which could take a long time. This knife appeals to me because it is small and concealable in my belt, as well as having a quick draw. This knife's design is second to none, and I can grab it and pull it out in a flash. It has a great fit in your hand and is extremely sharp. I wear it both on and off the job. Off duty, it's completely hidden and blends in with my clothes on my belt; I've since ordered a second one with serrated edges. For 34. It's well worth the money at 00. It's of good quality and appears to be long-lasting.

For the money, this is a fantastic knife! This is a fantastic way to improve your self-confidence
5/5

The holster it comes with is a little floppy, especially on my thinner nylon belt, but that's easily fixed by unscrewing the clip, clamping your belt in between, and screwing it back down. br>br>Because the retention on mine is so strong, simply pulling on the knife may not be enough to get it out if you have weaker hands; however, pushing on the holster with your thumb (as intended) will help you get it out. Unless you want it to, this knife is not going anywhere. A nice touch is that all of the screws in the holster have blue thread locker on them. br>br>This knife is also not intended for general use; the steel was not designed to be used on a regular basis, and the edge will not last long if used for everyday tasks. br>br>Overall, this knife performs admirably in the application for which it was created. Last-ditch weapon that's easy to conceal. It's something I'd recommend to anyone looking for a great self-help book. a knife for self-defense. br>br>contrary to popular belief, a knife for self-defense. br>br> If you overtighten the screws, they will easily strip. Also, the included L-shaped Torx wrench isn't double-ended, which makes removing the screws take a long time; if I had to make a change, I'd use larger screws and a double-ended tool to speed up maintenance and configuration changes.

Little blade with a lot of strength
5/5

Aside from the fact that it's stamped "Made in Taiwan" right on the blade, it's a great little knife; I've only had it for a day, so I can't speak to its longevity, but I'm only using it as a self-defense weapon, not a blade for opening boxes and the like. br>br>Out of the box, it's razor sharp. When worn on a belt or even gym shorts, the weight feels good in your hands but is barely noticeable. It deploys quickly when attached to a belt, but it's a little more difficult with gym shorts. It still deploys, but it takes a little more effort to get it out, which is probably for the best. br>br>The clip is reversible, which is very convenient because it allows you to carry the bag on either the right or left side, as well as which way the handle is positioned. I switched it around so that when I'm on my right side, the knife will deploy with the blade in my palm facing away from my body. This is my preferred method of carry for self-defense because I can still close my fist easily while holding the handle in my hand. All-inclusive br>br> All in all, I'm very pleased with this knife; it's a great value for the money. I looked at a lot of similar knives before deciding on this one, and I'm glad I did.

The holster is fine, and the knife itself is a nice concealed carry option; most of the reviews are positive, and I agree
5/5

I'll respond to the holster's negative reviews. The most common criticism of the holster is that it is too tight, making it difficult to remove the knife; however, I disagree. br>As you can see in my photos, the holster has a thumb grip to aid in the removal of the knife; a quick press results in an audible click as the knife releases, and it is then free to grab. This is a feature, not a disadvantage, in my opinion. Until you need it, the knife is always securely tucked away in the holster. br>When someone buys a concealed weapon for self-defense, it should be expected that they will practice unholstering and "dry-firing" it. The weapon is "firing. " I've had mine for a day and have probably drawn it 100 times already, getting faster at clicking off the "safety" and withdrawing the weapon with each draw. This will help me remember my muscles when I need them the most. br>In my opinion: Great knife, great holster, but if you can't get used to it, they sell aftermarket ones on Amazon that are a little looser.

It's ideal for the purpose for which it was created
5/5

I recently took a defensive knife class and quickly realized that a fixed-blade knife was the best option. In comparison to a folder, a blade knife is far superior. When I got home from class, I placed an order for two of these: I bought two, one for myself and one for my wife, and I gave her the ten dollar bill. br>br>The sheath is mediocre. br>br>She received a minute crash course in proper use and now carries it every time she runs outside. br>br> I sprayed silicone on mine to make it easier to remove the knife. For my wife, I purchased a better sheath that clips to her running tights securely. br>br>Although I carry this knife on a daily basis, it is not intended for EDC use. I have a folder on my that I use to open boxes, cut food, and so on. The bar is there for safety reasons: from a distance up bad- Attempts to steal my concealed handgun from a safe distance to evading seat belts in a car accident.
